We used Fire to Fork Catering for the cocktail hour at my daughter's wedding on September 12, 2026,…read morein Los Olivos, and it was a great choice for us. From the minute I began talking with Stacey, she was friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. We did not have a wedding coordinator, so we were handling pretty much everything ourselves. I really didn't know what to expect when hiring a caterer for an event like this, and Stacey made the process easy. She worked through the menu with me, explained how everything would work, answered my questions, and even made the payment process simple by allowing me to send payments through Venmo. The food was plentiful, beautifully presented, and delicious. We had four different appetizers, including taquito cups, bacon-wrapped shrimp with the perfect combination of sweet and a little heat, mushrooms stuffed with chorizo, and carne asada sliders. My daughter, the bride, actually said, "I don't even like mushrooms, but I love these!" That says a lot! They traveled from Santa Maria to our wedding in Los Olivos, brought the appetizers, set everything up beautifully, provided table coverings, and the service was prompt and efficient. One thing I had completely overlooked was providing plates for our guests. That was something I should have taken care of, but in all the craziness of putting together a wedding without a coordinator, I simply didn't think of it. Stacey came to the rescue and kindly gave us a small stack of plates they had with them. It was a small gesture, but at that moment it was incredibly helpful and very much appreciated. If you are planning an event, especially if you are doing much of the coordinating yourself, I would absolutely recommend reaching out to Fire to Fork. Ask questions, discuss exactly what you need, and let them help you through the process. The food was excellent, the service was professional, and everything worked out wonderfully for our daughter's wedding. Thank you, Stacey and Fire to Fork, for helping make such an important day for our family go so smoothly! Our photographer captured all the food tables. I will add those pictures when they arrive!!

Fine Food.....Wrong Venue?…read more This is the first "less than 5 star" review for Fire To Fork. My comments are not quite the same as all the others because those focused on the catering side of the business. My review discusses Fire To Fork as 1 of 3 food providers for a concert at the Presqu'ile Winery on Saturday, August 8th. My wife and I are vegetarians and menus from the 2 food trucks at the winery's event sponsored by the Oasis Senior Center in Orcutt were 100% meat. Fire To Fork was listed as the 3rd provider so I called earlier that day to ask whether the promised "charcuterie board" would be appropriate for vegetarians. I left a message...kind of incomplete since the tape was only 30 seconds...but a very nice woman called back and said "we'll have a huge box with 10 types of cheese plus nuts, fruit and some meat for people who want it". She was super friendly. We got to the concert early and I was one of the first people at the Fire To Fork booth. My wife and I planned to share a "box" so I simply said "everything but the meat". The paper box was the type used for a couple of hot dogs. The guy in charge gave me 3 strawberries, 8 red grapes, 2 balls of caprese cheese with 2 cherry tomatoes, small chunks of another cheese, a few figs and one other dried fruit. A younger guy put 10 crackers in a smaller box. Since the cost was $35.....yes, $35.....I asked for some more cheese - especially since I didn't get any meat. He reluctantly added one ball of caprese. The contents of my "box" were fine, but worth $12...maybe $15. Since some of the money was probably going to the local non-profit, I could see a charge of $20. But $35 was an insult. Everything at the 2 food trucks was $10-15. The food itself was fine, but the portion meager. For similar events in the future where attendees pay for the food rather than one person or organization footing the bill, either lower the price or raise the amount of food provided.

I hired Pulcinella for my wedding, approx one year prior to the actual event date and while I…read moreappreciate the initial effort to site check my property for compatibility, the communication and satisfaction ended there. I had tried to get in touch with Kym regarding the pizza menu and certain special requests. After repeated emails and phone calls, plus an extra Yelp inquiry to nudge her, I finally got a response. My planner also reached out several weeks before the wedding with no success. This was a recurring issue. I understand wedding season is busy but my planner and myself were not contacted until 6-7 days prior to my wedding. There were other logistical things to figure out and the communication fell absolutely short. I also requested in multiple emails that I would like to purchase extra cheeseboards/grazing boards to have a more elaborate spread. This was never acknowledged so I had assumed I would be billed later or extra charges on my invoice would cover the request. Nope- they ran out of food incredibly early for my cocktail hour and did not even clear the area. At the actual event, I had 60 people and purchased food for 68 to account for vendors etc. There were 3 small pizza trays on a table and they were being eaten by a single table at a time. Some people did not receive food or waited so long they just gave up and ate meatballs and salad. I acknowledge that the DJ called guests too quickly. Not the catering team's fault. But even when he slowed down and people were fine waiting, it was still an abnormally long wait. There could have been a second table or more pizza trays or something. 3, 10-11" pizzas to be split amongst a table of ten is not reasonable. The slices are thin and people started taking bigger portions of sides cuz there wasn't enough pizza in time. I understand that there was an issue with where the "kitchen" was set up, versus where the food table was located (a 200 ft walk), but there was extra staff to assist. Also- this issue could have been solved much earlier and planned better IF THERE WAS COMMUNICATION. So disappointed. When people actually did get food, they said the pizza was good but I've had good pizza elsewhere and that's where I'll be going for it. The star is for the meatballs which is all I ate as the bride. I was one of the people that gave up on pizza since it took so long. My husband said it was good but he also only got a single piece. Bummer.

She collaborated with us on designing a menu and appetizers, as well as helped coordinate what we needed to rent (although her restaurant provides a majority of the necessities). Her staff were very polite and very professional. I particularly appreciated, that even though we had opted for buffet service, they came by our table several times throughout the night asking if they could bring us any more food or drink. Something you can truly appreciate as the bride and groom, since we were busy enjoying the company of our friends and celebrating our marriage :) The food was, in my opinion, the best food I've had at a wedding! Just as good as the day we did our test run at their restaurant in Santa Maria. We had the top sirloin and chicken (barbecued right on sight, so it was fresh and hot!). Both were very tender and went together great with the fire-roasted veggies and the garlic mashed potatoes (the potatoes are to die for!). The vegetarian penne pasta was equally as delicious. I wish I did not live so far from Santa Maria, because I would eat there over and over again! The pictures on their website are a bit dated, but don't let that fool you--you cannot beat the food and service you get from Plemmons Catering. My pal showed up and we got down to business. He chose a chicken taquito with a bottle of Pacifica, while I ordered the trio of shrimp tacos and a glass of Chardonnay, as they don't have Sauvignon Blanc on the menu. We added an order of guacamole and got out chip bowl refilled to share it. The shrimp tacos are the freshest and most tropically flavorful around, and the sauce on them is nice and light, truly Californiaized! My pals taquito was also fresh and green with a tangy sauce. The guac was muy autentico, with tons of avacado and not too mashed up. All in all, a very Cali experience! We had lots to talk about, and liked the fact that most patrons were dining outdoors on this beautiful day. The inside of the restaurant was pretty noisy and it was just all the noise bouncing off of the very reflective surfaces, but we chatted on and on. We'll be sure to return to this friendly local place!
