This is one of our stops when we drive from SoCal to NorCal. Perfect stop for a break and great…read moreplace for fresh seafood. We have eaten grilled and fried fish tacos and the fish and chips. All the dishes are filling and satisfying. The fish tacos have a nice helping of shredded cabbage and sauce. The homemade chips with the salsa on the side are nice and crispy. There are tables outside and even though there are a lot of people, there is a lot of turnover so there's always an open table. We always get these two dishes but we'll try other dishes next time.

This was a fantastic place to grab seafood for lunch!…read more Did read about the parking lot and since it's shared with Trader Joes, it was crowded, but found a spot within a minute. Seemed like you could park in the other lot on the north with the human bean coffee shop, and walk across the cute connecting bridge that brings you to this lot in front of TJ. Anyway, it was nice and cozy inside, with counter to grab seafood or order some food. Inside had maybe 4 or so tables, while outside had many more. First went outside after ordering, but it was quite windy chilly so went back inside:) Had checked out the menu ahead of time, so ordering was easy. Tall young man was super friendly. Even brought out the food to the table when ready. - Fish n Chips = was so crispy and fresh, absolutely delicious and kid ate it up. plenty of fries too that we all could share - Fish tacos = got one grilled, one fried. Of course fried tastes better, but grilled was great as well. Covered in cabbage and special sauce. The sauce was excellent and addictive, easily defeated all the cabbage. And the fresh fish pieces in these were huge/thick, just awesome. The salsa that came on the side I guess is for the tortilla chips, since the taco had that special sauce on it, so no need salsa on it to detract from the special sauce. The tortilla chips seemed to be fresh cut and fried in house, was so crunchy good, especially when get a chip with a bit of salt on it. - Salmon salad = this was fantastic as well. Generous salmon pieces and the balsamic glaze was perfect with salmon and salad. I guess 2 of the salmon pieces were the skin, which was the best part! Such a delicous way to get your omega 3!!! With so many places to try, sadly only got to eat here once, but it was up there as a memorable meal, A+! And allows for you to walk off your fullness at TJ afterward, just perfect.

I highly recommend Parilla Mixta #1 and the Sonora Tacos. If you want to get fancy, add the Chicharron con Guacamole. It stretches pretty far in feeding a family with 5 kids.

Although I intended to try one of their steak dishes, I couldn't stay away from the lobster Mac & Cheese. It had an amazing presentation, with a petite lobster tail with shell over a plate of delish Mac n Cheese, The steak dishes will have to wait until next time! My wife had a grilled shrimp dish with mashed potatoes and corn, which was wonderful as well. We tried the house margaritas, which were not listed on the menu, but were refreshing and a great price. They also had some great Mexican beer on tap. The owner was our server and she was so gracious and friendly. She made us feel so welcome, The interior was quiet and calming, with the bar area a real standout, We may just eat there next time! Highly recommend for a unique dining experience in the North County.

It reminded us of how Whole Foods used to be before the Amazon takeover... original items, good variety, a well-kept store and pretty displays, and many local products. We ordered a variety pack of muffins (Apple spice, marble, orange cranberry and pistachio), a sushi roll, lentil soup, and some other drinks and snacks to share. This store has a good balance of brand-name items (Coca-cola, etc) as well as local, organic or niche products. We didn't try any of the hot food bar but it looked soooooo good... I will come back for the gigantic stuffed artichoke! We loved all of our food... even the sushi was legit! Made fresh in the store every day. I would be here all the time if I lived in the area. Please open a store in Southern CA and I'll break up with Whole Foods to be with you!

High quality merchandise and good lighting throughout, so you can find items. Shopping carts that actually work properly. Plenty of parking. My wife and I stopped by while passing through to San Luis Obispo…read more I did want to mention that this restaurant is under new ownership. First with the positives, this place is very big inside, they offer plenty of seating for large groups, and also have a very nice bar area. Now on to the negatives. Upon arrival we were greeted by... no one, we walked into the seating area and found a worker who said that we could sit anywhere we like. The place was almost completely empty except for one couple. We were brought chips and salsa and menus and we not interacted with again for about 8-10 minutes. No waters or anything. Finally when our waiter did get our order, we finally received waters. I honestly felt like an inconvenience. I ordered the shrimp burrito. When it arrived I was pretty surprised with how sad it looked. Literally just a burrito on a plate. No sauce or no cheese on top, no garnish nothing. Very disappointing. Nothing like the other pictures posted. And 19 dollars! My wife's plate looked presentable. Flavor was just ok. They definitely need to work on presentation as well as consistency. For 54+ dollars, I wouldnt return.

Sides - Salsa: Like crack in a ramekin, addictively delicious, fresh and hot, but couldn't stop - Chips: Delicately crunchy and fresh - Guacamole: Delicious and done right Beverages A number of beers offered, limited cocktails. I had a Paloma which was tasty, but the real star was their horchata - so creamy good! Ambiance Black tables, chairs, and concrete-like tile, so noisy, but not overly so. Good for casual dates, girls or guys' nights, and large groups. We were told that tonight (Friday) at 9:30 a DJ will be coming in and there'll be karaoke on their stage, which we'll have to check out another time. All-in-all, a solid dining experience and excellent service.

We visit Italy twice yearly and I can say with certainty you will NOT find more authentic italian meats and cheeses than you will at Alle-Pia. Their Prosciutto, direct from the source in Parma, Italy, is by far the best and tastiest you can buy on the central coast and their Copa, which they make themselves locally, is absolutely delicious. As far as cheeses go, their truffle pecorino is literally to die for. And anyone who tries Nduja for the first time will get hooked on it. I first experienced this Calabrian delicacy in Tuscany on pizza and was super stoked to see that Alle-Pia makes their own as it's extremely hard to find outside of Italy. Eric, who works there, is super nice and helpful and will always give you sample slices of whatever you're ordering. He also makes fantastic handmade crostini himself. And when Tess is working their (the daughter of the owner), I enjoy getting to speak some Italian with her. All in all I can't recommend this place highly enough to buy your authentic Italian products. Between Alle-Pia and Etto, we're pretty much set.
