KENT IS THE REAL DEAL!!…read more Unfortunately, I'd called the FAKE Village Chimney Sweep I found by searching the internet, a company that hijacked Kent's information and his photos. Kent was who I expected to come to my house, but an Israeli man came from Camarillo. He walked outside, looked up at my chimney and told me it would cost $1,200 to fill the visible cracks in two bricks. He didn't even go up to look at the crown! I asked him what he was going to do to fix it and he said he would shoot glue in the cracks. He told me to give him a check for $1,200 and he would hold it for 3 days but I had to make a decision right away so he could do it immediately because he didn't know when he was going to be back in Santa Barbara County. I was so confused because Kent is local to Lompoc! He didn't even know who Kent was! Was very uncomfortable and sent him away. Then I checked the business license posted on the fake site and found that it doesn't exist. The man who was in my house made me very nervous and I'm glad because that caused me to refuse any service or negotiation from him. I had been lazy by not going to my fireplace to get Ken's magnetic business card that he gave me over 10 years ago after I bought this house. Kent uncapped and cleaned my chimney, added a gas pipe, a damper, and a fireplace screen. A few years later, I had him come out for a cleaning but he said that I didn't need it. Honestly, I had not been using my fireplace for a while. He didn't charge me for coming out. When the pull chain on my damper broke, he got a new unit and replaced it at no charge. After that fake guy left, I finally got smart and grabbed Kent's business card from my fireplace. I called him and told him what happened. He told me he had heard months before that someone was using his business name. To make a long story short, Kent came out and got on my roof to check out my chimney and the crown. Both needed repair and he came out a few days later, did a thorough repair, completely cleaned the area, and my charge was about half of what the crook wanted me to prepay. Kent is honest, clean, thorough, and absolutely the best and only local to Santa Barbara County chimney sweep that I would ever consider using. Thank you, Kent, for being readily available and for being the honest person that you are!!

There have been many times where my family and I were in a stressful situation and were in a better state when Guy arrived. He and his team took amazing care of our home. My biggest worry is mold and the safety of our young children. So when our home was flooded, he came by as soon as possible with every possible tool in his arsenal. He was honest about the moisture levels and kind enough to explain the situation. He and his team were professional and well educated when it came to this line or work. Everytime I have a moment to thank the universe for the special people it has put in our path, Guy and his team are on the list. By the third time, water came leaking out of the ceiling (plumbing issue), I knew what needed to be done just by all of the knowledge Guy had dropped on us. I immediately thought, "Call Guy right now." If you own a home, keep this business card on your fridge. You can thank me later. Salamat, kuya Guy!

He wouldn't answer and was strange about it. I asked if he was able to disclose his findings, and he said no. He could have just said that from the start. His demeanor the whole time was unpleasant, and he did not want to answer any of my questions. We then got into a conversation about air sampling and I said it can be great and it has it's place yes, but it's not the only tool. He did not like that and became so hostile with me. He said it's the only way to detect mold and that he was the best in the business. Several times when I tried to respond, he said Will you let me talk?! He never explained his process when he came in. I let him know this and he said he told my husband. Problem is, I was the one home and was not aware what he would be doing. He was ineffective and clearly knows nothing about mold. He refused to complete the job, called me the problem, and laughed on the way out. I am thankful he left as he did nothing to investigate, and his demeanor was narcissist and hostile. I had another company come out and wow! I didn't truly understand how terrible my experience was with Guy until I compared it to someone pleasant and competent in the mold world. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON.

We hired this company for a deep clean of an empty house prior to moving in. We were told the job…read morewould be a "top-to-bottom scrub of the entire house" and were quoted 5-6 hours. The cleaner ultimately claimed to work 7.5 hours and requested full payment. After paying half upfront, we inspected the home and found that large portions had not been cleaned at all. There was visible dust throughout, hair still in drains, grease on the stovetop, residue on shelves and light fixtures, urine still on a toilet, and grime on the dining room floor. When my husband contacted the owner, he admitted he did not clean the master bedroom, master bathroom, or another guest bathroom, despite never disclosing this beforehand and still expecting full payment. During the call, he also attempted to shift blame by stating that "your wife said it wasn't a big deal," which is not true and was never communicated. The owner repeatedly justified the condition of the house by referencing "buildup," but could not clearly explain what that meant or why it resulted in so many untouched areas. Given the state of the home, it was unclear what work had been completed during the alleged 7.5 hours, as there were no visible results consistent with either a deep clean or a standard clean. The owner did return the following day to "finish the job." However, after the second visit, the house was still visibly dirty and not to the standard of a deep clean. At that point, we had already paid half of the quoted amount, and I still had to clean the house myself before we could move in. At no point were we informed that rooms were skipped, nor were we given the opportunity to address this before payment was requested. Based on the condition of the house after two visits, it did not appear that a deep clean -- or even a thorough standard clean -- had been completed. We are leaving this review simply to warn others so they can make an informed decision. Unfortunately, this was not the level of service that was promised or paid for.

** YOU HAVE TO SHAME THEM INTO PULLING A PERMIT THEY SHOULD HAVE PULLED BECAUSE IT'S THE LAW!**…read moreI called Yesenia at the City of Santa Maria and she said the permit was just pulled today. AFTER the install was completed and after my Yelp review. What a shady business. CENTRAL COAST HEATING & AIR DOESN'T PULL PERMITS! THAT PUTS HOMEOWNERS AT RISK! I'm extremely disappointed with Central Coast Heating & Air and feel obligated to warn other homeowners. After some red flags, I contacted the local Building Division directly and confirmed that this company did NOT pull the required permits for the work they performed. That's not a minor oversight; proper permitting is a California requirement for HVAC replacements and major installations, and it protects the homeowner, ensures inspections, and keeps insurance valid. It's in the mechanical code! Instead of being upfront or professional, they pushed ahead without following basic legal procedures. There are plenty of reputable HVAC companies on the Central Coast who actually follow code, take responsibility for their work, and don't cut corners. Unfortunately, Central Coast Heating & Air is not one of them. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want your job done legally, safely, and with integrity. UNLESS THEY SUDDENLY START PULLING PERMITS! PROTECT YOURSELVES! ******** What I didn't hear in your reply is that you pulled the required HVAC permit with the City of Santa Maria or any of the counties that you operate in. The building divisions and CSLB are on to your tactics. I am happy to remove my review if you can provide the permit # and applied and issue date that are verifiable with Building Department. Thanks in advance.*******
