She takes great care of the children and encourages them by appreciating even the smallest things, which really helps build their confidence. Ms. Jeena is also very kind and caring. Our little one feels very comfortable with her, and she was one of the main reasons we felt confident moving our child into her class. Ms. Nomi is just as wonderful. She takes great care of our child, and it's so nice to hear our little one talk about her at home. All the teachers create a safe, loving, and positive environment for the children. This is the church that I was baptized in…read more This church is over 100 years old. It is the "original" St. Stanislaus Church in Modesto. The new, & much larger one, was built in 2008, right next to St. Stanislaus School. And while 18 million dollars was spent on the new church, it seems that the old church has been strikingly neglected. While I now normally attend mass at the new church, because of a schedule conflict this past Ash Wednesday, we came here to receive ashes instead. When I saw the state & the condition that this church is in, I was genuinely saddened. Huge cracks in the paint, soiled & musty carpet, & dirty floors. Cleanliness is next to godliness. And dirty floors are an easy fix. But the interior itself needs some major TLC. Repair work, new paint, new carpet. It's still beautiful. But I wish it didn't look & feel so decrepit. Masses are still held here. It is very unfortunate that the upkeep seems basically non-existent. Still the first. And still filled w God. Please save it! Leaving a star rating seems sacrilege...

The teachers there do their job, they care about students, and they teach a good curriculum. I was a student here for my four years, class of 21', and overall I enjoyed it. The police department was not too far considering this school is a couple of blocks away from downtown. However, there's a bunch of druggies around the school. Homeless people, gangbangers, weirdos, you name it made the environment less safe. TLDR: good school, terrible neighborhoods.

Coming in they are welcome most of the the people you can tell have lived a hard life which is nice to see them embracing a church. Everyone comes and said welcome and hello the pastor seems nice and reads from the word. I must say we felt uncomfortable with the man who was I guess is a security member. A short man with sandy blonde hair wearing dark glasses looked little ruff . When we were walking back out to the parking lot. He put his glasses down and stared so profusely at my husband and I we were so taken back we got a little scared put our heads down walked away quickly to our car I felt like I was in Sf again. ;( Maybe they need to Vet their staff better in Customer service. I do hope they do well in that area I heard they come from a More edgy part of Modesto however we won't be going back.
