We got the fish and chips, the double jack burger and the ribs as well as the pumpkin soup. The fish was ok and it had the light batter which I prefer but the fries were not good, they tasted very stale. My colleagues thought the burger and the ribs served with rice (a bit strange) were mediocre but they did like the soup. We were the only group of patrons. That's when the odd service began. A menu wasn't given/offered to one of our group members. Then after drink orders were taken, we had to ask for a server to come take food orders. Strangely, the server only took one good order, put the order in, and never returned. After a few minutes we called a server over again and the same thing happened. Server took one food order and started to walk away, until we called him back. Once the food came we all ate and enjoyed the meal. However, when it came time to settle the bill, they came back with 4 separate checks. One for each of us. Very strange. Also strange is we counted at least 12 employees, many of which seemed to just be standing around doing nothing. The food, however, was delicious. I had the South Pub Burger and Fries. The Burger was cooked perfectly and tasted like one from back home, in the States. The Fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very satisfying meal! I hope they are able to correct their service challenges because this seems like a great place to go, especially for Americans that want a little bit of a tastes of back home.

I can see why Yelpers have rated this place high. HOWEVER. Why the two stars? Because of their abysmal customer service, ESPECIALLY by a woman I am presuming is the manager. Her demeanor and her all black conservative outfit just screamed "HBIC" or "Head Bitch In Charge." Her name tag read "Mae." Her RBF ("Resting bitch face") is something serious and I am NOT exaggerating. It's even more serious when you have to interact with her. Mae, regardless of if you are or are not the manager, you should learn the value of customer service. Why would I want to go back to an establishment run by or that employs an ice queen as a host? Do what every grown adult does at a job and fake it. It won't kill you to smile and radiate a bit of warmth to patrons. This might sound crazy but it might even influence customers to come back or even better, positive word of mouth. The rest of the servers are... well. One waiter/bartender took my order, served my friend's cocktail and completely forgot about mine. I didn't see him again after so I had to call a waiter to follow up on my drink, after like 20 minutes of waiting. Two stars for the ambiance and solid brews and food. I was about to give it an extra star for the nice 20% on classic beers after 7 p.m. for Visa card holders but Mae and that waiter's idea of customer service didn't warrant the extra star. I might come back but why would I when "Yes Please" is right next door. Yes, it may be a bit pricier, food and drinks are concerned, but I'd gladly pay a little more than to be given a cold shoulder.

Now this is where I really enjoyed my night. The DJ at the Brewery was hands down playing all the hip hop & R&B music. My cousins knew what kind of music I listen to & they knew to stay on this side of the club longer. Enjoyed the music & food. Service was an average. How about things you do not see on a normal restaurant/club vibe basis? One of the workers was sweeping with the walis (broom) next to us doing their job by keeping the restaurant clean. We ordered a few cocktails, truffle fries, and bacon chicharon. I had the watermelon jungle juice and some of the fries and chicharon. All were delicious! Salty + sweet is always a great combination. I mean, how can you say no to dishes like the Bacon Stack with Spicy Baconnaise, Tokwa't Bagnet Belly, JFC (just Fried Chicken), and Angus Beef Sisig! I recommend you try the Fatty Fries.
