Traveling to see family and stayed at a nearby hotel and finally found some time to go out on a Thursday evening. There were a lot of local eateries/bars open at night but we were fortunate to find some patrons leaving and the table was quickly cleaned up so why not try this place? Glad we did. We had one appetizer and the rest of night we had quite a bit of the piglet salted caramel signature brews and it was worth it! The ambiance outside, music and service was great! When walking in to use the restroom, the bouncer/security guard gladly showed me where to go with my broken-Tagalog communication and I was suprised that the 2nd floor was very roomy with plenty of tables (and people!). One of my favorite places in the Philippines! It's constantly delicious and has good prices and portions. My cousin and I sat upstairs which I liked better because it seems less cramped than the first floor. Our order: Crispy river prawn with salted egg butter = loved this! It's not too salty and very flavorful. I haven't had salted egg flavors too much before this trip and...I don't know why. What have I been doing with my life?! Creamy carbonara = this is your standard carbonara. That being said it's still very good. It's one of my favorite kind of pastas and it did not disappoint. New York strip with mashed potatoes and cole slaw = how else would you describe heaven? Especially for 1100 pesos (about $22), the portion and flavors are amazing. You need to consume a bottle of hard drinks if yiu want to stay beyond 10 pm.. Kinda sucks! Arrived there at 7pm and since we have no reservations, we were seated at a reserved table by 10. At 9:30 we were booted out and no table was waiting for us to transfer. So we just had to leave. Food was good, we had; Pork BBQ ribs, sisig tacos, half chicken half amazing, Jack Daniel's pizza, spicy buffalo wings. Some Staff are snob, their hostess was not so accommodating. We had two different waiters, the last one was nice and friendly. It'll take me a long time to come back, tbh. May not, if I'm the one hosting the dinner out. read more

We've eaten here 5 times now, and the food is always quite good - especially the pork dishes and the salmon. The happy hour specials for beer are quite good as well. The only food item I would not overwhelmingly recommend is the burger, which I found dry (for a great burger, go nearby to The Farm). I take off 2 starts (and am tempted to take off 3 stars) for the poor service here. On one of our visits, we sat in a booth on the 2nd floor balcony; we waited for 35 minutes, attempting to get the attention of the waiters/waitresses (waved at them several times) but with no success - even as they visited the 2 booths directly next to us. We finally just left the restaurant as we were unable to order anything. The other times we've visited, it wasn't as bad as that experience, but we did have to basically yell and shout and wave our arms like fools to get anything. While I look the food and the atmosphere, we hesitate to take friends here due to the very poor service. read more

The only reason this place got three stars was because the pulled pork pizza was great, but the French Onion soup left a lot to be desired, I wanted to go in the kitchen a teach the chef how to make a proper French Onion soup. I chalked it up to they must of had a busy day and completely forgot to season the soup it had absolutely no taste and the small slice of French bread floating on top with a tiny bit of cheese on it was not atypical of a French onion soup, presentation was completely off in that department. But I think a lot of the good reviews this restaurant receives is simply because it is patronized by local celebrities and obviously a lot of its patrons just simply don't know better. This place is no comparison to the Tipsy Pig in San Fransisco, so if your got to try it out keep your expectations low... Decided to give the place one last try and I'm sorry I did, first off they where out of several things on the menu and what we did order was again not seasoned well but also the majority of the dishes where cold said they sat in the window too long and all the dishes came very far apart.. secondly the staff was very rude. The sisig tacos were great and received praises from the entire group. The boneless crispy pata was also a must-try! I didn't enjoy the kesong poutine that much (Tipsy Pig's local take on poutine) because the fries were soggy. Overall, pretty satisfied with my dining experience. read more

If you don't know what to eat, this is a good place to start. I really like their sisig tacos and their food presentation is great. However, I was disappointed that they didn't have a lot of their menu items available, such as the nachos and ALL the pizzas. They didn't even offer alternative dishes so it became difficult for me to pick another option. Service was also indifferent. The staff wasn't attentive to our needs. On a Friday night... Server offered us "The Best Seller" and come to find out... They ran out of "the best seller" beer at 11pm at night. We only had 1 beer and decided to move to another location. Saw the reviews and thought this looked good, wandered through the local area which is full of bars and restaurants and found the Tipsy Pig. Nice outdoor seating area and a dry evening and so we took a table outside. Hit an immediate problem, Tipsy was playing loud music thru outside speakers but 25 yards away there was live music being played. The two venues were clearly competing and both had turned the volume up, we had two different sets of music merging to a noisy mess, we asked Tipsy to turn down there music but they refused so we moved to another table as far away from the live music as possible. We ordered some drinks and two burgers. We then waited 45 mins and no food, we got the attention of the waiter and asked where our order was, he came back and said it would be 6 minutes. 10 minutes later the food arrived, our burgers were small, the beef patties half the size of the bun and very small, a small collection of French fries and none of the toppings we ordered. By this point we were hungry and so decided to keep the burgers, the flavor was good but it was more like a slider than a burger, the whole thing really disappointing. This was our third restaurant in 3 evenings and by far the worst, poor ambiance, poor service, poor food..... we will not be back read more
