used to stop in here after work before the bus (less than 5 mins walk away). very good value and friendly staff. I went in and ordered my usual (JD) - and for the 35ml measure, this is probably the cheapest bar I know (unless you have a time machine back to the 80s/90s or whenever). I thought i had been undercharged at first. very good selection of spirits. Jukebox has a good selection and most nights it's pumping out rock music - not chart cheese like most others I know. It does have it should you require it however ;-) from what I've seen, it seems to attract an extremely mixed clientele which adds to the vibe. read more

The usual Wetherspoons formula. Good, well priced cask beer…read moreserved by capable and friendly staff. Food very competitively priced and god value particularly on the days with special when a drink is included. Can be very busy at weekend and later in the evening.
