Cheapest pop music with no sense of taste. Thus the nice interior becomes cheap and crappy. At least the staff is quite friendly.

As to food, I rather enjoyed the dough balls we had as appetizer and the fish and chips were decent. My wife thought her "katsu" - breaded chicken on a bao bun would have been better if the chicken was not breaded to give more taste. The salted caramel cake we had for dessert was, however, delicious. So a decent meal but - as my school reports used to say - could do better!

Fab…read more 6 cask ales ,cheap n cheerful food, friendly, prompt service, within sight of the station (nearly, and blowing my whole theory about easy to find pubs). This is a fantastic place to have a quiet drink, alone or with a friend. Live it. Love it. This is the reality of the soul that chain pubs seek, with their artfully arranged tat. Even down to the schlitz neon between the antlers of the stuffed deer head. This was what I needed, and I am so glad I found it.

We had been to the bigger establishments and wanted to try a few old man pubs, so we thought maybe Bush Bar would be the one. As we walked in, loads of men, and a few women in the back near the karaoke machine. Yep, you read right- it was an odd pub. The inside definitely didn't match the outside, which is totally fine. I popped down to the toilet while my guy ordered drinks. When I came out, he had chosen a table near the bar and had already almost tuned out the surroundings because of the top 40's type music they were playing (Sophie K.- think Lloyds #1). We only stayed for one drink, which was probably one too many for my guy who isn't really a fan of the loud music pubs. There was a random mixture of people- old men, college students, men, women, random. I can see how this pub might be a great quiet spot during the week, plenty of seating and a small well stocked bar. Come the weekends, it's loud music and karaoke, which is great, if that's what you're looking for.
