They have an excellent selection of pastries, all fresh-baked. My favorites are the blueberry cream cheese and the chocolate crescent. So good! Their coffee is also my favorite brew. Sometimes I come here just for a café americano. read more

During our recent trip to Mexico City, we finally explored the Condesa neighborhood and stopped at…read moreFicelle, a bakery I had seen recommended on TikTok. The pastries and service were delicious. While they do not have indoor seating, it was very pleasant to sit outside on the sidewalk and people-watch. We tried three different pastries: a plantain pudding pastry, a fruity meringue pastry, and a very unique peanut butter and chapulines cruffin. All were excellent. My only piece of constructive feedback is regarding the payment process. We had to pay for the pastries separately from the coffee, which made the experience less smooth. It would be much more convenient if everything could be paid for on a single check. Overall, it was a wonderful spot!

The service was attentive and friendly--occasionally a little slow, but that's part of the relaxed rhythm of being in Mexico. The outdoor seating is charming, surrounded by greenery and decorated with natural plants, which creates such a pleasant atmosphere to start the day. I especially enjoyed the Betty juice made with beets--it was fresh, vibrant, and absolutely delicious. The pastry selection feels endless, unlike anything I've experienced elsewhere in Mexico. During our visit, they were offering pan de muerto for Día de los Muertos, with a creative twist: a rich chocolate filling. It was outstanding! Overall, my friends and I had a wonderful experience here--delicious food, a beautiful setting, and a bakery that truly makes you want to come back again and again.

I don't think you can go wrong here. the sandwiches and pastries are top notch. Not sure what else to say other than: visit Saint as fast as you can! Pro tip: Buy a large baguette and take it with you. They also have french butter in the cooler towards the front. They were making fun of me at first for carrying a large baguette through the city, but this bread came in clutch with my group of weary travelers even a few days later after a flight to Merida! It stayed soft in the middle (which is a sign of authenticity!)

But for now, a short walk from my Hotel Casa Corp along Benjamin Hill to Saint. Lovely place. And I opt for a dulce de keche roll and one of their special seasonal hojaldras. Two things come to mind. The first is that spellcheck changed the name of this pan de muerto to "himalaya ". The next is that the bakery borders Calle Tamaulipas which sounds a lot like Tamale Pass. Restaurant name idea? Maybe. Did I like it? It was fun. It was enjoyable. With so many choices in the city though, it may be a while before I return. Just too many places to try here.

So many pastries and breads to choose from! We of course had to try the famous guava roll which is croissant-like that also had cheese custard. The cute little pig like cookie was cute. There is always a line outside, but it moves relatively quickly if you pickup. If you'd like to sit inside or outside, I'd definitely be prepared for a wait. The pastries themselves were expensive, but were filling. Overall, everything wasn't sweet enough and the flavors were very average. The guava roll had a tangy cream and there wasn't enough filling to pastry. The cacao roll also was tangy and had a waxy texture due to the nibs. I wished both were a little sweeter. The dulce de leche bun was also dry and very messy to eat. It did taste the best out of the three pastries though. My favorite from the trip was the beetroot juice, it was so refreshing.

Scant lines and decent service, but the flavors just weren't special. My favorite sweet bread was the mini panettone, which while slightly dry included the requisite candied fruit bits enrobed in comforting, eggnoggy crumb. The guava pastry was OK, but far inferior in taste and texture to a Cuban style guava pastry. The mamey cream filled donut was forgettable, as the mamey flavor was overwhelmed by the monotone pastry cream. But most disappointing was the marranito - I was so excited to see this seasonal gingerbread piggy on the shelf, but the bland flavor (no molasses or ginger notes at all) made me sad.

It's more of a grab-and-go spot than a sit-down café, with a selection that caters to specific dietary preferences like gluten-free, vegan, or low-sugar. We tried a few items to sample the range -- the strawberry empanada, some bread, and their wheat tortillas. The empanada had a mild flavor and wasn't overly sweet, which may be a plus for some but felt a bit underwhelming. The tortillas had a great texture but an unusual aftertaste that stood out. The other bread items we picked up were similarly neutral in flavor -- nothing particularly memorable, but not bad either. Overall, Pan Gabriel seems to prioritize clean ingredients and health-conscious recipes, which is great if that's your focus. Just keep in mind that the taste and richness typical of more traditional baked goods might not be what you'll find here.

You're supposed to grab a tray and tongs then take what you want to the cashier. The place was so large that I didn't bother grabbing a tray because I just wanted to look at everything first. I ended up getting a corn muffin my friends grabbed a few things they didn't really know what they were, just grabbed what looked good. My corn muffin was ok., it was moist, dense, and had real pieces of corn in it. I tried some of my friend's raspberry baguette it was also pretty good. Dense baguette and tasty dried raspberry's and some nuts maybe walnuts? My other friend got some bread thing with sugar on top. It was a bit dry and not very buttery. I didn't care for that one. There was a whole gambit of baked goods to choose from, donuts, bread, cakes, pastries, even sandwiches. We tried asking what they were known for, no one seemed to know. So I guess there's no specialty. Prices were very reasonable around 15-22 pesos maybe some were more depending on what you chose. I found it to be a good Mexican bakery but not as refined as a French bakery. I guess you gotta find what's good and what you like. Unfortunately I didn't find that item yet.
