I hate to leave a bad review, but I made the decision to try this place based on reviews and I really regret it. I had a haircut with Rebecca and just want to share that she is NOT good with wavy/curly hair! I went in with long flowing locks, and left with an ugly mushroom shaped bob! The layers are super short choppy and blunt, disconnected from the rest of the hair. She did not work with my wave pattern at all, so there are weird pieces sticking out all over. She curled it after the cut and it was so bad, like a high schooler had done it. To top it off, she was very negative and gossiped the whole appointment, sharing way too much personal info that was uncomfortable and draining for me. I'm so sad, and miss my beautiful hair, but hopefully this review will help someone else read more

I'd made an appointment with CAS--who had a quick response time, btw--hoping to see someone who knew wavy hair, having had wonderful prior experiences. My expectations were exceeded by Rebecca, who was super friendly as well as attentive. I forget to give my stylists warning about my thick hair, but she gave me and my hair her full attention. She ended up curling my hair after my trim, which, before today, I don't think I've ever seen in my hair because it can be an undertaking. I've been following Dana for a couple years now. She managed to turn my box colored black and gray hair into a beautiful blonde and I haven't looked back! The new salon is gorgeous with a beautiful design and the shampoo area is sent from above...there is a headrest! Who knew that was a thing? All this time I thought I was destined to leave the salon with a neck ache, but I was able to relax and almost fell asleep with my head in the sink today! Rebecca REALLY knows her business! I described to her exactly what I wanted; what went wrong with previous haircuts and she really listened to me. I needed a style, I needed color but we were able to keep my own platinum white on top and do a revere ombre with the most gorgeous almost black brown on the bottom. I wanted a shag cut, which she accomplished in NO time! Additionally when I called and left a message she called me RIGHT back and apologized for not picking up right away! Who DOES that nowadays?! I was camping in Big Basin and had a date night planned with my husband in Capitola -- the short hair I've been growing out needed a trim at the back, things were getting too whispy and hectic! I experienced a true beauty experience by Karissa Jordan and her sister, Dana( who is the owner) at this beautiful new salon! They worked as a team on my hair which has been maintained by only ME in the past so it really needed a professional touch. Karissa spent the time my hair needed and did a fabulous corrective color and haircut and my hair has NEVER looked this great! I highly recommend this salon and Karissa and Dana are amazing though I haven't met the other stylists but I heard they are also great.
