The first time, our group of four sat outside in the courtyard, which was so cute and had a great atmosphere. Their mezcal selection is incredible--everything from Espadín to Tobalá to Madrecuishe. We were so excited to see mezcal from one of our favorite places in Oaxaca on the menu! The server was super fun and kept the good vibes going the whole night. We ended up staying for two hours (and even canceled our dinner reservation somewhere else) because we were having such a great time. The food was amazing--we shared tamales and chicharrón, which paired perfectly with the mezcal. The courtyard was amazing, the music was awesome and it was just such a fun scene. A few days later, we went back and sat inside, which was just as great. We ended up chatting with the table next to us and loved being able to try so many different mezcals while learning about each one. That's what I love most about a good mezcalería--the chance to taste, learn, and truly enjoy the experience. La Miserable has everything: a killer mezcal selection, a welcoming vibe, and great food. If you're in La Paz, you have to check it out. Can't wait to go back one day!

Talk about design and architecture where the rooftop itself makes you feel like you're part of a sculpture and the aesthetics just blow your mind away, all with the best views in La Paz of the Sea of Cortez. We heard about this place and knew we had to try it. Despite it being a bit on the pricier side, we knew we didn't care. Because we had just eaten and had dinner plans later, we opted for a some mezcal cocktails with a view. The drinks weren't anything I'll be talking about but the experience itself is something I'll never forget. Form the host to our servers to the views you can't put a price on. We wish we could've come for sunset but sadly we were in a bit of a time crunch. That's something I'm sure leaves you speechless. Either way, highly recommend! You can also reserve a little pool plunge area that comes with a towel and the best views in the house. Totally worth it! I'll never forget this experience and it's a space I'll for sure keep talking and dreaming about. Hope to try their food and maybe even stay at one of their rooms next time I'm in La Paz. Thanks for an unforgettable experience. The design and architecture left me speechless.

You should def stop in here if you are: - Able to drive and/or have a car while in Cabo - Not interested in sub-par food options near the resorts - Want good sushi (and related dishes) at a good price - Want a good family styled dinner ambiance Sushi rolls are pretty large and have a LOT of rice. We got 3, which was overly ambitious once we saw the size, but #yolo: - Chicken Cordon Bleu - we did it without bacon; was pretty good. It's a unique roll that's fried on the outside, but the rice and white sauce were a bit much - Baja Jalapeño- tuna roll with a kick, my personal favorite - Tsunami - shrimp with spicy tuna. Pretty good The service was a bit slow, likely as we were one of few English speaking folks and seems not all waiters could speak it. Luckily the menu had pictures and we were able to make it work :)

Loved the big porch with the rocking chairs and hammock. The housekeepers did a wonderful job of tidying up each morning. Our bed was so comfortable, too. Our room had everything we could need: filtered drinking water, shampoo and body wash, reading lights at every bed, and beach towels. We shared in some unforgettable experiences: snorkeling with puffer fish, boating alongside gray whales, and digging for shark teeth. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. The food was unbeatable. Fresh yellow tail, fluffy pancakes, and fajitas. I highly recommend Palapas Ventana for anyone who likes adventure and is looking to experience the local culture. Well done!!

The office person said she would call me back to check to see if they could accommodate. Within the hour she called back and advised us there was room, we just needed to come by the office and take care of payment. We were stoked and happy to come down and pay. While I was there I asked her how many dives, she said she didn't know, but that was okay, I was just assuming it was the standard 2 dives. She advised us that it included lunch and I told her not to worry about me because I am dairy and gluten-free, she said she would let the kitchen know and that they could probably accommodate. I wasn't really concerned about lunch because I usually carry my own food. The next day we met with our guide and boat captain, both were super nice. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We headed around the lighthouse, but visibility was poor so they took us across to the island where we dived with the sea lions and then we moved to the kiters beach on the island where we dived in shallow water. For the most part, we didn't really need to scuba, snorkeling would have been just as good. There wasn't really any benefit as far as seeing sea life. After both dives they gave us lunch on the way back, much to my surprise, they actually provided me a lunch that was both dairy and gluten-free, I was pretty impressed. The not so good: The wetsuits had holes and smelled really bad. I am not sure they had been cleaned. The air in the tanks smelled and tasted horrible. I don't know if it was mold or rust, but it was really bad. The worst part of the trip is that the guide allowed two people on our trip to freely smoke cigarettes non-stop on the boat ride and they were sitting upwind of everyone, ugh!!!! Tip: If you decide to dive with this company, please tip your guide, they are not paid in wages and only live off of the tips!!!
