The FedEx tracking information I received shows the delivery time, and Harry and David confirmed delivery. When I called the receptionist to ask, their explanation was that someone at front desk will deliver packages to residents sometime in the evenings. But they had no way to track or confirm any past deliveries. The delivery address clearly stated the name, address, and unit number. This experience was very disconcerting as to the security of any future deliveries. Very disappointing as I've heard this is a great place to live.

The design of the building is excellent and the staff tries to keep the residents engaged. Service declined due to staffing issues during Covid but things were returning to normal. The staff showed my mother love during her five years. After talking to others with elderly parents with memory issues, I feel like Pearls Of Life was the best place in Lynchburg for my mother. It's not cheap. Just a tip for anyone in any facility like this, don't expect your loved one's "things" to remain in their room. Between staff laundry and other residents, my mother's closet and drawers ended up half full of other folk's clothes. Furniture and pictures disappeared. But that should be expected. As I said, the staff was loving and did their best with my mother and all the other residents. The activities director is top-notch. The facilities director is a very caring caring person and has to deal with a lot of pressure from families, staff, the state, and his organization. If my mom had to have dementia, I'm glad I had a place like Pearls of Life for her to live out her final days.

They communicated appropriately with hospice and with us, the family. The office - both Jeremy the RN contact, as well as the after hours staff, were so easy to work with. I deposited $60k for a condo in January'24 and signed a contract completion for June. 4 months after this contract completion date, it was still not complete and we were given no new date. Along the way, we requested no changes to the build. In October we requested a release from the purchase agreement and a return of our deposit. As of February 2025, we have yet to receive our deposit even though the condo has been sold to someone else. We have filed complaints with the better business bureau, DPOR and FTC. Runk and Pratt is forcing us to go to court to return our money. Too bad a business like Runk and Pratt with deeper pockets forces a consumer to use the court system Instead of doing the right thing.

My mother received no meds, before bed time. No one checked on her overnight. We could not even warm up her coffee, coffee cups were not allowed out at the room. We signed her out by 9 am. Don't send your loved one to this place.

What really angers me is the whole time we were there they said her arm pain was a good sign but after speaking to qualified professionals elsewhere we discover her arm was dislocating itself and she should have been in a special sling! Pure incompetence!! I won't go on as to why I detest this place but Please, take your loved one someplace else! But if you have to come here be with them every single day! Don't leave them here alone! And shame on Lynchburg General Hospital for recommending this place to people!
