Over the years Shell has has been a little schizo on this location. It was a Shell forever and…read moreever, but then one day it suddenly closed. Someone took it over and ran it as a garage for a while then it suddenly closed again. Then everything was leveled and a shiny new Shell gas station opened. At the same time, the Shell on Southland & Acadia was leveled and now the land it up for sale, so maybe Shell was doing a little consolidating. Either way, this is a nice new location with a small convenience store on site. No car wash though.

The lady behind the counter, named Angela, scanned them in and the total came to $3.35. I didn't have exact change but I gave her $20.35. She took the money from me, clearly annoyed. Then she slapped a 5 on the counter and counted out some loonies and about $4 of quarters. As she was doing that she let out about 7 or 8 pissy sighs to let me know she was annoyed. Then she slammed her drawer and left this messy pile of coins for me to gather up. I had been nothing but nice to her, smiling and friendly and not once did she so much as ask if I had another method of payment, nor did she explain she was low on change. I then said "sorry for whatever I did" and her response was a snarky "don't apologize to me, you should apologize to the other customers" and then she said "it's my first day" as if that excused her behaviour. My feeling is that it's not the customers fault if a store hasn't planned properly. Had this clerk so much as explained the situation, asked if I could use another form of payment, etc I would have absolutely accommodated her. I offered to let her take the change back, with the thinking that I could pay another way and she pulled the twenty dollars out and slammed it on the counter and said "take your $20 and go". I never did get my 35 cents back. I later called in to speak with the owner and she answered, saying the owner wasn't there, and that they wouldn't be back for 5 or 6 weeks, she didn't know. She wouldn't give the owners name, or the name of anyone covering the store in the owners absence. Told me I was trying to "blindside" and "harass" the owner when all I did was to ask to speak to the owner. Not sure how that's harassing. I was actually trying to give him a heads up and probably save him customers. Maybe he or she will read this instead. Angela is costing you customers.

But I had another ticket with a $7 winning on it. She claimed she scanned it and it was not a winner and after arguing with her she finally scanned it then gave me my money back. She was rude and inconsiderate. I will not be returning to this location. If you need gas I suggest you go to the Esso across the street.

The car wash is antiquated. it did not spray any water and my car was covered in soap when the…read moretrack pushed my car out. the cloth things didn't touch one side of the car even tho I was in the track. The "wash" lasted about a minute. the attendant said it was my fault for not entering the car wash properly (i put car in neutral and turned off as the sign stated) and refused to let me rewash the car because I purchased the wash on the app instead of in the store. he expected me to pay again if I wanted the soap off.

As someone who specifically goes to car washes for touchless, I was very disappointed to learn that after paying for the car wash, lining the tires up in the tracks, inputting the code then having the doors open to see it was NOT touchless was really annoying (no there's no windows in this one on the side of the building) because then I was stuck. There is a reason I don't do regular car washes that pertains to the tow hitch system on the vehicle.

I took it in again and they claimed it was put on the wrong way. They said it was covered under warranty and would put it on right and have it ready by end of day. Ok no problem, but when they phoned me they said there was another problem: the power steering rack decided to explode as they were taking it out the garage door. I was somewhat suspicious of this as they couldn't even put a belt on right in the first place. I brought up this possibility of them maybe doing something wrong to cause this breakdown with the manager. He of course got defensive & rude and said this was definitely not their fault. Afterwards he said he would replace the power steering rack half price and I wouldn't have to pay for labor due to all the trouble & being near Christmas. I found this really strange he said this since he first claimed none of this was the mechanics fault. I of course took the offer cause I was in a rock and a hard place & basically had no choice! This was done December of last year. Just found out my power steering rack went again! I phoned Oakridge and asked about a warranty on this rack which should have been for a year. We compared BOLs over the phone and he claimed there was no indication they had ever done a rack replacement on their BOL!! Therefore there was nothing they were going to do about it. Since I'm in Edmonton now I decided just to forget playing these games with these guys and just go over to a certified auto garage and get it done right. Now I have to pay $1200 for a job that should have been covered under warranty. Will I go to Oakridge Automotive ever gain? Never! Buyer beware and make sure you go to a trusted mechanic!

Spent $2000 to fix a ticking noise in the engine.. what do you know, its still ticking. Additionally, they have a tendency to add random services that I never asked for. For example, I went in to get my tires changed and they also replaced my breaks (which I already did 2 months previous) for an extra $100 or so. Today, for some reason my family insisted we go to this place again for a busted taillight. They quoted the job at $160, when we go to pick up the car and pay the bill was $260. When I reminded them what the job was quoted at, the lazy eyed alcoholic behind the counter says, "Oh yeah, now I remember". I swear they have a "idiot charge" button on their register to try and con people out of a few extra bucks. Go here only if its minor repairs and make sure to get a paper version of your quote because these guys will very likely try something shifty. Good luck

I visit this store often. The check out clerks are awesome and I have always found the staff…read morefriendly. The pharmacy is an exception. The line up is always at least 15-20 mins. Many times I've given up and tried to find a better time of day. But no matter when I come or how many people are working in there( today it was 6) I wait. Then the pharmacist tied to charge me $67 for a drug that is %100 covered by my insurance. A generic drug has recently come on the market, causing my insurance to only pay the generic cost. They did not explain that. I went from paying $2 to $67 and they didn't think to mention anything. They got all that education in drug interactions but have zero skills in people interactions.

She pushed his items to the back and then started putting my items through - which resulted in our items getting mixed up. I asked her to stop doing that and to hand me my items, she was extremely surly. She charged me twice for the eggs I purchased; didn't realize this until I got home. I contacted the store and left a message but didn't receive a call back. I'm paying a lot of money for groceries and now being charged twice. Would not recommend this store to anyone.
