I sent my four-year-old and six-year-old here for a year. They continuously came home with bite marks and scratch marks from other four-year-olds. When I confronted the daycare director about the abuse my children were suffering, I was told that they have never kicked out a child for poor behavior, and if I didn't like it I could find alternative options. I will be looking into reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as well as contacting whoever licensed them. My son went to help another child clean up a mess that she had made and got bit on the face. Other times random children have struck out against him for no reason. The teachers there are just as frustrated as I am, and they tell me that my son is a sweetheart. Unfortunately that means he's targeted by other children because he won't strike them back. Feel free to send your kids here, if you want them to come home bleeding and scared.

We were a family living in Los Angeles, raising 2 young kids and had learned enough about the values of grit, self-directed learning, and raising empowered kids that we knew the right school environment was of the utmost importance to us. The problem was, the only kinds of schools in Los Angeles that offer that kind of education cost LITERALLY 20-30 thousand dollars a year. For PRESCHOOL. That is insane, and it was impossible for us to consider. But when we discovered the Antioch School, their incredible teachers, the grounds, the philosophy, the history, etc. AND saw that it was not only much less expensive, but offers financial aid to nearly 50% of it's students, it sealed the deal for us. We moved here and have had our oldest in the school for 2 years and his transformation has been incredible. Getting to watch his social skills and capacity for play and learning, trying new things, etc. It's the greatest gift we could give him (and ourselves as parents.) If you're a parent who believes that the modern public system of over-testing and lack of exploration for kids is NOT the solution to raising well-adjusted, smart, capable kids or if you believe that playing outdoors is more important than spending 8 hours a day at a desk, this is the school for you. And you won't find a better one for hundreds of miles around.

I had a really hard time in the beginning because they aren't currently letting parents in to drop off and pick up's (due to COVID). But Bethany was so sweet and would call to give me updates on how my little one was adjusting and that made me feel a lot more comfortable in leaving them. I definitely had a much harder time with the transition than either of my kids. But Bethany was very nice and understanding and patient with me, and that was very much appreciated. Skip ahead a few months and I see a huge difference in my 2-year-olds vocabulary! He has come such a long way since we made the transition to Primrose! As for my 5-year-old, I am blown away by their curriculum and the things she has learned! I still haven't had a chance to meet the kid's teachers, but I am hoping in the next few months to get to sit down with them.
