During COVID, it seemed they implemented stricter standards than the hospitals. Since then they've struggled to adequately staff. As such, I was recently called 5 minutes before school to say there was no transportation for lack of trained bus drivers, which necessitated calling her out of school as she was already there and we were at work. They then asked for volunteers to keep their child home one day and cancelled transportation 3 more days before revoking the service for the remainder of the school year. Now I'm scrambling to cover the last 3 or 4 weeks of the school year. Thankfully I was already withdrawing her this summer as I'm a teacher.

My child was only going part time in the pre-toddler room, 3 days a week, yet he was ALWAYS sick! And when I say "always" I mean just that. No, not just your typical cold and runny noses. I get children will pass things on, I mean after all this was NOT his first daycare facility and I didn't have any issues at his prior. My job required me to leave the state so I ended up in Ohio at this horrible place. The front desk ladies are nice, I'm not too fond of the new director they had gotten during our time there but the teachers I wasn't too fond of...Sue, Brandy and I forgot the other brunette's name. I'm getting ahead of myself...my son was always sick because of the lack of cleaning going on in the facility. They can make the facility look clean in the sense of nothing out of place but the germs are living strong. I know there were various dinosaur toys in his room that were NOT being properly cleaned. I am use to dipping all the toys in hot sanitized water twice a day, during their nap and at the end of the day. None of this went on here. Also my son ALWAYS cried when I left him there, says a lot. Also one day his daily sheet read no wet diaper until 3pm that afternoon, I dropped him off at 8am everyday and I am thankful they didn't think ahead to lie on his sheet but how they thought only 1 wet diaper was acceptable in the hot summer is beyond me!! No drinks of water throughout the hot summer day and even if it weren't summer my kid and yours deserves unlimited amounts of clean, fresh and cold water. My poor child, thirsty all that time! The food is pretty limited too. He was ALWAYS hungry when I picked him up and he's an excellent eater! Also! I did a pop up on them and he was locked in an area in so much distress the teachers even looked at me like "uh oh, we're caught". The dry diapers were my last straw as with the croup illness he got and passed to his brother who didn't even go to the facility. My oldest son had a terrible breathing issue because of this croup he got from my youngest attending this dirty school! Do NOT send your child. Went off of a recommendation from a friend...I was put into a situation where I needed daycare in a short amount of time and this facility had an opening so I enrolled him against my better judgement..My son went there for 3 days ..he was not taken care of properly. The first day...I picked him up...the teacher that had him was sitting in a chair while there were babies and toddlers running all over the place half dressed..dirty...crying...my son is 15 months old...so I guess they combine infants and toddlers at the end of the day so my son's teacher could leave...I got him home and changed his diaper...when I took him that morning..he was 100% fine...i got him home and changed him...he had a diaper rash so bad his butt was bleeding...had dried poop on his bottom and in the diaper...I contacted the director and told her what i found, she said she was sorry and would make sure he was cleaned properly...i was lied to about what he ate and how his day went...i was first told he didnt eat well...and when I picked him up the "teacher" said he ate really good and had a great day...I said...thats not what I was told earlier when I called to check on him. I also packed a blanket and fitted sheet for his cot that was never used the 3 days he was there...so..my son slept with no blanket or sheet...second day...his father picked him up...so..im not sure what state he was in..dad said he seemed ok...last day...i walked in...same teacher...my son was screaming his head off along with another child and they were both sitting at the table...my son had a cup of milk sitting in front of him...WHICH WASNT EVEN HIS CUP...other children were in bouncers...swings and exersaucers CRYING...2 BABIES were crawling on the floor CRYING and she was sitting in the same chair..i said why is he sitting in the table...her reply was...he had a bad day and was throwing a fit.......so. i got him out and said to her...thats not what i was told when i called. I was told he had a great day...he was not "throwing a fit" she needs to be fired. Who says that? .there was a younger girl working in the room with her...she didnt know who i was and thought i had another child at the center...same room and acted like she was going to get that child ready to leave with me!!! I told her that child was not mine....that blew my mind...I got my son home....immediately changed him...he had a huge bite mark on his thigh...i was livid. No one told me crap about what happened. My protocol when i was a teacher..was...when a child got bit..i called the parent...let them know it happened and filled out an incident report for them to sign and have a copy of. Called rosie...nobody knew jack crap about what happened...no incident report...nothing...the center is dirty...my son was dirty when i picked him up. Do not send your small children here. I took him out of this place. I am so disgusted with the way things were handled.

Before CSC, she attended a larger, chain daycare. I work and go to school full-time, so my daughter is no stranger to long days spent with the daycare staff and other children! However, since she's been attending this daycare I don't worry about her being there too long, or being unhappy while she's there. This daycare is absolutely my daughter's second home. She loves the other kids, but most importantly, she loves the staff. Miss Bonnie, the director of Centerville Safe Care, treats these children as her own. She's interested in their lives, their hobbies, ambitions, pets, everything! These children aren't just her job, she genuinely enjoys every one of those kids, and they all know it. They all feel special there. My 9 year old will spend an hour at CSC before they drive her to her elementary school at 8AM, and she will be picked up from her school by them to spend her afternoon, until I get off work or school, as well. When the city schools are closed for a holiday like President's Day, the daycare is open. If the schools have a snow day, the day care is open. Even if I have the day off and my daughter doesn't have school, she still wants to go to daycare! There's so much for them to do. They constantly have fun experiments to do, or a field trip to go on, or games to play. The tagline for this daycare says, "Centerville Safe Care- Where childhood is a journey, not a race." Nothing could be more true. Your son or daughter will not just be a face in the crowd here. They will be loved and embraced for who they are. This daycare is such an integral part of my daughter's day-to-day life, I could not be more thankful that they have taken that opportunity to be such a positive and fulfilling experience for her. My kids look forward every day they get to go to the center. I feel safe with my kids at Centerville Safe Care, which is important to me. There summer program is wonderful, my kids come home every day so happy and can't stop talking about what they did or Are going to do that week. They have the best prices around which is a extra bonus, but I would pay mor just to keep my kids with Ms. Bonnie.

We moved to the area and had her enrolled in a different daycare waiting for her slot at Primrose to open and could not get her out of that short-term location fast enough. At Primrose, we get a daily report emailed to us about what they did that day, food served along with what amounts she ate, and diaper changes. At both drop off and pickup, our daughter smiles, waves, or hugs the staff - its obvious to us that she is well cared for and feels safe and comfortable there. The classroom divisions by age/development have been great. You don't have to worry about a cattle-like situation of a room full of 50 1-5 year olds. I personally prefer that this location is a locally owned franchise. The owner is there daily, and she has a stake in the success of the school. The other location was a corporate run daycare where top to bottom the staff seemed to be at a job they could take or leave. In the year we have been there we have seen little to no turn over and promotions within the current staff. This was important since the place she was before had a different person at pick-up every other day.
