Flash forward to today, our second time in her establishment. She recognized us immediately!! She referred to us as the bourbon people and remembered what we were looking for. I was amazed!! She mentioned that she had a few of those bottles but I told her I had already purchased a few backups. Then she mentioned what she had in the back room and I was drooling! An Eagle Rare 17 for an awesome price. A Stagg (backup) for $50 less than I purchased my first one, and I thought that first one was a good price. Finally, she mentioned she had an Elmer T. Lee. The prices were nice on all of them and the amazing thing is that she sold all 3 of them to me. A lot of places only allow you ONE allocated bottle. As an added bonus I racked up some major reward points. They have a nice selection and the staff is friendly.

It took a few weeks but tonight my dreams were answered when right in front were a big stack of lovely yellow cans. I immediately put the wine back and picked up two 4packs of Malibu pineapples. I think the icing on the cake was the time the apartment upstairs had a plumbing issue, and they had buckets strewn about the store to catch the water dripping from above. I don't know what possessed me to go there recently (must have been desperate), but I was pleasantly surprised by the obvious change in atmosphere, which was clean and orderly. I could tell immediately that it was under new ownership. I'm not necessarily keen on the layout, how they blocked all of the windows or even some of the prices for that matter, but compared to the sh*thole it used to be, this is a huge improvement. The staff is friendly and tries to be helpful, so I give them credit for their efforts. They seem to be receptive to suggestions, and I think with time, they will continue to improve.
