The coffee was amazing and they started a tab for me so I could hang out and even brought me the coffee. These small touches were so so welcome and appreciated!!!!! So my hoard of books netted me 7 or do new reads but happily for me the ones not needed will go to a good cause! Now, like I said, I'm not much of a reader so choosing a new author could take me a while, and the immense piles of books everywhere were kinda intimidating but she knew where every author was, she even got me started with an author I've never heard of. However, based upon my collection she definitely got me going in the right direction. She's a really lovely lady and a nice person to talk with if you've got the time, I highly suggest stopping by for a read!

As an avid reader of biographies of Old Hollywood stars, when there is a book I genuinely want to…read moreread on a person I want to know more about, I go out of my way to get it. I love the instant gratification of buying a book at a store and leaving with it in your hands compared to the process of ordering it online. In this case, this Barnes and Noble location was the only one to have a particular book I wanted to read on Hedy Lamarr (my absolute favorite). I headed over there when I got off of work at 5 and upon walking in around 5:20, heard a voice over the loudspeaker say that they were closing at 5:30. This was totally my fault as I should have called ahead to see what their hours were in regards to Covid. I asked an employee at the front if he could point me in the direction of the book, as I had it pulled up on my phone on their website. Right away I could tell he was annoyed that I was walking in 10 minutes prior to closing, but also that I was asking him for assistance. Another employee walked by and he asked (wasn't even really a question, more of a statement) her to help me. I showed her what book and right away she lit up. We had a great conversation about Hedy Lamarr and books we have read about her while she led me right to where the book was. After making my purchase, I left the store happy. Not only because I had an awesome new book to read, but because I got to share my excitement about it with someone else that was just as equally excited. This could have easily been a one star experience due to the negative attitude I faced at the beginning from one employee, but it quickly became a five star due to the positive attitude I received from another.
