I found them to be…read moreindifferent, unprofessional, unresponsive and ultimately unhelpful. 1) Yellowbrick promised an assessment of their findings in a month, but took three and half months to send the report about an urgent mental health issue, without explanation or apology. 2) A summary of the assessment recommended an alcohol treatment plan, when my child has no history of alcohol use. The document they sent me was literally called "boilerplate" and included this boilerplate recommendation. 3) My child had previously been diagnosed with an eating disorder, a main reason I wanted the assessment. Yellowbrick concluded they found no evidence of this because my child did not verbally confirm this condition. 4) Finally, my insurance company found coding errors on their 14500k invoice and denied all but 2k of the reimbursement because of this. For six months I have tried to get Yellowbrick to correct this, no avail. If your family is in crisis, Yellowbrick will only deepen it.

If you love dogs, Denise brings her dog to every appointment. Denise's dog is well behaved and his calming nature helps me a ton. Therapy dogs are no joke! They do help people a ton. Their new location provides a ton of free street and neighborhood parking. If you don't have a car, they're right next to a bus stop on Armitage, so convenience is still there. This practice really cares about their clients on all levels (ex. mental, financial, emotional, and etc), so don't be afraid to try this practice. Plus, they have been really flexible with scheduling, which is a characteristic that other practices don't have (Trust me, I've checked).

Rather than working with me to find the right treatment, he made me feel unheard and unsupported. Thankfully, I've since found a real ADHD specialist who actually listens and provides meaningful help--no gimmicks, no pointless conversations, and no pressure. If you're looking for real ADHD care, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. ---- Sent me a bill for 100$ fee after 4 months of no services... with no description of the fee. I had an initial point with Dr. Amera Rahman for…read moremedication management after being diagnosed with inattentive presenting ADHD by my normal therapist. The first appointment was canceled the day before. Things happen so I rescheduled for another day. During the initial appointment Dr. Rahman was dismissive when I addressed my concerns regarding ADHD treatment and options. She questioned the competence on my therapist and insisted that I was depressed even though I explicitly expressed that I was not. I had no feelings of depression or anxiety. She offered Wellbutrin and I declined. After a long drive to the Evanston Clarity Clinic location for a face to face appointment she reluctantly prescribed me 10mg of Vyvanse. After a week on the medication and doubling the dosage after a few days as she instructed, I had a follow up appointment were I explained how I hadn't noticed any change or experienced any of the previously mentioned side effects. At this time she responded "well maybe you don't have ADHD", and insisted again that I was suffering from depression or anxiety. She did not listen to me at all and showed a lack of consideration for what I was experiencing. I felt like this was a form of discrimination. I decided to see another psychiatric provider who gave me a formal evaluation that confirmed my original diagnosis. I have noticed a significant positive change since receiving proper medication management. It is unfortunate that Dr. Rahman made a diagnosis based on her personal biases without evaluating me herself or even adjusting medication.

I didn't click with my previous therapist, and that's okay.. Nonetheless, I cancelled that service because it was not a good fit. Months later, I tried to have therapy again. I went in with the same expectation as before and wow was I blown away! Nicole got back to me the next day after my inquiry. I see Nicole and she has helped me realize things about myself that I never knew and a different perspective, but in a very personable way. I think there is one reason for my thinking, but she opens up a whole new realm of possibilities and that there is just not one reason for my behavior. She is never judgmental and is very easy to talk to - it's like you're talking to a longtime friend. When there are patterns you're talking about or something she wants to Segway on to change your thinking, it's never done in a negative way. I honestly cannot recommend her enough.

I have been going for about two months now, and every time I go she pulls out something that I didn't think about and shows me a different way to think about it. She's been very helpful to me and I will continue to see her. Very professional and courteous, easy to get a hold of when you need to set up or reschedule an appointment. I often have to leave her a message because she's in a session, but she calls back within a couple hours. One time I forgot I had an appointment until five minutes after my appointment started, when I called her she allowed me to come in 30 minutes late and still take the full appointment time. Not going to be possible in every case, obviously, but she is flexible and will work with you. Obviously choosing a therapist is a very personal decision, and just because she is helpful for me does not mean she will be the best fit for you, but if you are looking for someone friendly, professional, and helpful, I would suggest giving Ms. Robinson a try.
