THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Gary Sheets & Center for Acupuncture!!!!
When I decided to try acupuncture, I had reached the end of my rope. Like most people, I had heard about acupuncture, but didn't really believe that it could "heal" things. I was also hesitant to spend more money on another treatment that wouldn't work. I was wrong.
I had been suffering from severe neck pain since November 2006... final diagnosis was a bulged disc & arthritis between c-4 and c-5, and arthritis in my rotator cuff... I was only 31 years old!!! I went through the usual chain of treatment... drugs, physical therapy, chiropractor, a few massages. The chiropractor gave me temporary relief but nothing long term. Massages felt great, but expensive. Between the pain, out of pocket expense and time off work, I was starting to lose my mind.
My condition wasn't severe enough for the Orthopedic to recommend surgery, but it was just severe enough to ruin my life. After 4 years of pain, my personal life was suffering, I gained 20 lbs and was falling into depression.
The last straw was when the debilitating headaches started... in early 2010, I was diagnosed with tension headaches. This is when I decided to try acupuncture. I researched local practitioners and liked what I read about The Center for Acupuncture so I made my first appointment. I was thoroughly interviewed and treated by Gary Sheets, L.Ac. After my 1st appointment on July 6th, 2010, I could already tell he was going to change my life for the better.
After some nutrition changes he recommended and a 2nd treatment, something strange happened... for the 1st time in almost 4 years, I felt... good. My neck pain was drastically reduced and the headaches became less frequent. I hate to use clichés, but it was literally... "too good to be true".
It's been 16 months since my 4th treatment, and I feel AMAZING! I still have a few bad days a month, but before acupuncture, every day was a struggle to get out of bed. Chronic pain is no laughing matter.
Thank you Gary, for giving me my life back. Thank you for not only your knowledge in healing, but also for actually caring about people in pain. read more
