I've been seeing Dr. Chen for over a year as my Dr. was not comfortable prescribing any pain medication even though I have been on it for over 19 years. My last appointment was in December. I was supposed to have one in Jan 26th, however I was called and told that I would not be able to get one until March so they gave me a refill till then. April comes and no appointments. I called twice to let them know I hadn't been seen, and my medications were nearly depleted. I was told that they best they could do was give me an appointment July 15th. I explained that one of my medications side effects was a mood booster, and that I have been warned multiple times, by multiple doctors not to stop it suddenly. Well that didn't matter to the scheduling department. July 15th was the best she would do for me. This staff happily let and my family suffer though the misery of the withdrawal symptoms that led to 2 urgent care and an emergency visit. Again Dr. Chen is amazing. Scheduling staff couldn't give a care if you died.

When I reported this to my attorney, the clinic claimed one charge was a facility fee--even though it was equal to the cost of the surgical procedure. Be very careful. These excessive charges can significantly reduce your final settlement and net recovery. Based on my experience, this clinic's billing practices felt unprofessional and unethical.

Let me start with the fact that I was running late and could not find this place for the life of me and I was scared that they would make me reschedule. I called them and they were the best! They were telling me how to get there and I was perplexed to say the least. Marcella (the receptionist) and Erica (the nurse) were great! They went above and beyond. Erica asked what the make and color is of my car. Marcella stayed on the phone, while Erica went outside to see if she could see us and be a beacon for us. That was so awesome! She flagged us over and when I got inside, I was apologizing profusely and they assured that most people need help finding them. Marcella asked how to say my name (which is HUGE when people mispronounce your name all of the time) and that made happy. After being ushered to the room patiently (pain is an issue), Erica asked all of the necessary questions and at one point, I got emotional and she was very calming and sweet. She came over and gave me a safe, side hug and was very compassionate. I was absolutely taken with her kindness and understanding. As I was waiting for the Nurse Practitioner, I found myself much calmer than I was before. Then, Delisa came in and right away, I liked her. She is knowledgeable, compassionate and very well versed in her field! Delisa helped me to understand some of what is going on with my body and also started the appropriate treatments. She explained every step to me (none of that I'm the professional, just do it kind of attitude) and ASKED me if every step was okay, instead just telling me. REFRESHING!
