Nice church. A couple friends of mine go here and love it. I'll give my take.
Pros:
1. Close to home.
2. Great emphasis on the Bible and teaching the Word of God deeper.
3. Nice people.
4. People overall expressed themselves more during worship here than the other 2 churches we've visited.
Cons:
1. In order for my kids to connect, they need to go during the week to life groups. They have an intense school curriculum and this doesn't allow them to go during the week, so they do not get to connect with kids their own ages.
2. Worship seems to be singing songs about God, rather than love songs to God. God seems more remote in those songs.
3. Some kids take for granted the church they go to and don't make new visitors welcomed.
Many churches assume that kids have time for church during the regular week, but if you go to a school that has a tough curriculum where you have hours of homework every night, this does not allow at least my kids who go to such a school to be able to very often make it during the week. It's important at this age to have godly friends.
We need a church that isn't just right for one person, but for all of us. We were all able to be in service together, and my kids both recognized how deeply the Word of God is here. We really love that. We want a church that has this, but all the connections we need for community to further grow in Christ. read more
