I write this anonymously, of course. This "school", beset by the federal government, is a waste not only of my time but of the taxpayer. The entire program is less reminiscent of a trade school and more alike to a minimum-security prison. Persons receive little training. I myself am in a white-collar trade at the present. This trade education consists of reading a book for 8 hours and awaiting a "teacher" to quiz you on it. I am denied free agency and association, despite being an adult.
I am seen with the presumption that I am nothing but a child, whom prior to entering the program was nothing more than a degenerate whom lived with his mother and never held a job. This could not be further from the truth. Upon correcting the presumption, my judgment is no more bettered.
My incoming mail is intercepted and read. There is no protest. Why? I do not know. I am denied the right to go outside the center, even to the end of the block to purchase groceries from the local Walmart.
Any appeals I make to staff are either unanswered, or they are sympathetic with cries of "oh well", or they are filled with false promises of "The system is currently undergoing reform."
We are denied the right to be accountable or responsible for ourselves. We are told in steep untruth that this is a part of adulthood. They are accountable for me, I am disallowed from being accountable for my own being.
I have no expectation of privacy and am awoken several times a night due to a "bed check", as a part of said accountability. They want to ensure that no one has committed suicide, killed themselves, or have left this god-forsaken place. If we are still awake after a certain time, we are scolded.
The entirety of the program teaches one to worship work, become a doltish fool, and learn that solitude -- as well as denial of movement, is the greatest heights of human life.
