BUYER BEWARE. If I could rate them a zero I would.
We brought in a high-quality sub to be serviced because we were getting a rattling at high volumes. They told us the speaker in the unit probably needed to be replaced, threw one in and told us to take it home and try it before paying. Red flag #1. Sure enough, we googled the brand of speaker they put in, "Divinci" and it is a "white van speaker" (google it if you don't know it, essentially they put a speaker worth pennies in). The sound was terrible. We called the manufacturer, who informed us that they sell the part for $58+$11 shipping so we purchased it, and they told us it was just a matter of unscrewing the current one and screwing theirs in. We got it all done and it didn't work at all, and we were seriously nervous about going back given that we could no longer trust them.
Still, with no choice, we went back and they said a cable was not connected (i.e. one of the cables they removed had not been reconnected, not one of the ones we just reconnected). They said they tested it, and it worked.
Sure enough, it did. But it didn't fix the rattle. We went to an audio store (not a repair store) that we buy from often and they advised that this is a common problem with these units and it's something to do with the circuitboard.
So two trips, several days of panicking and thinking we ruined the speaker, and hours and hours of troubleshooting at home, just to get our speaker back to the way it was when we came in. $60 wasted on parts.
AND they tried to install a replacement speaker that is bordering on fraudulent. Never, ever, ever again will we be bringing our business here. Stay far, far away. No one who knows anything about speakers would ever buy those - the brand is known for being a piece of crap knock-off. read more
