There is no reason for this woman to be so rude the way she is. She will even watch me and any passengers in my car with me from inside while we are at the pump as if we are doing something wrong..... every time I have been here and this woman is working this happens.. I called over on christmas Eve to make sure they were open beings i was almost out of gas and had to drive 14 miles there and she was completely rude about the fact that they are open 24 hours etc etc etc.. I avoid going into this location at all expenses. I have even almost run out of gas to avoid having to deal with this woman. Somebody should really get rid of this woman. I cannot believe speedee mart even employs somebody that is so rude for absolutely no reason at all. Here's an LOL for anyone that has dealt with this woman before lol I'm sure in the photo that I provided below if you look close enough you'd probably find her in it somewhere (more than likely sitting on something behind the counter) starring out the window LBVS

No. Absolutely not. The employees do not wear masks and therefore their customers feel emboldened…read moreto go maskless. We saw at least 6 customers who were maskless and only 1 who wore one. Normally we stop at Casey's when in town, but we got here at midnight and Casey's was closed. Terribly thirsty, we needed to get something to drink and this was the only place open. The employee clearly did not want to be here. And with NO Covid precautions, we didn't either. We will not be back and will be warning others to steer clear too.

Old Market, Downtown

This is a decent little gas station/convenience store that came in clutch for me while I was…read morestaying nearby in downtown Omaha. First thing to know, Downtown Omaha is kind of a grocery store desert - or at least that was the impression I got from my visit. We were travelling with our toddler and while I KNOW she should be 100% off bottles, we are picking our fights and she still enjoys one with her milk in the morning and in the evening. That being said, we only brought two bottles and planned on cleaning them as we went. Our only problem was we forgot dish soap. After asking the front desk where would be the easiest place to find some they recommended Cubby's and they were right! While you pay convenience store prices, it was easy to pick up what we needed and they had a few options which was nice. The store itself has a good variety of food, snacks, odds and ends, and likely serves as a little grocer for anyone who lives nearby. I wouldn't say I loved this place so much I would definitely return, but I will say it was clean, had what we needed, and was conveneint, which really was about all I could ask for in a nearby convenience store.

I go to Cubby's fairly often, since it's what we have for a grocery store in the Old Market…read more Obviously prices are going to be higher here for most things than they would be if you went out of the Old Market. It can be kind of hectic in there sometimes, but staff are nice and keep things going. They have a nice meat counter. Also they serve a large variety of prepared or ready-to-prepare gas-station foods such as chicken, sandwiches, and Godfather's pizza. They also have some nice cheeses and things if you want to be a little more fancy. I like that they have some vintage items from former local restaurants on display. Gives it a unique feel that's appropriate to this historic area. They sell gas here, too. I've never bought it because I have an EV, which honestly is not at all convenient to have in the Old Market; it would be easier to purchase gas here than it is to access a charger in this part of town.

I was a regular return customer who splurged once a week to pick up fast food. Unfortunately, ever since they reopened, there has been a problem with my order. The first week I ordered the 'big box' meal and one cooked chicken breast separately. The clerk put the chicken breast in a flimsy small plastic bag with no way to seal it. He put the biscuit in a flimsy plastic bag, and the 'tender meal in separate small boxes. The condiments were tossed on top, no larger bag to put everything into for safe transport. At home, I discovered the breast was actually a back. I have worked with raw meat for 50+ years and know the difference in weight and color of a back and breast. That single piece cost $3.99 for about 2 ounces of actual usable food. I went back and showed them and they replaced it with an actual breast. They insisted they don't sell chicken backs. The following week, the 'big box' meal was minus any gravy or a biscuit. I still paid full price even though this was at 5pm, a time when they should have prepared for more sales. The following week I again got a back instead of a breast. I returned and showed them the difference in color of the meat (dark instead of light) and the difference in the actual amount of meat. They replaced it again. The last time I tried to order, I spoke to the manager quietly and politely, suggesting he might want to have a discussion with the rep at Chester's Chicken who provides the raw meat Cubbies buys. I then asked for a chicken breast from the over-flowing basket of chicken pieces we both saw in the display case and he stated, 'there are no breasts there now'. I pointed out several that were certainly large enough and shaped like a breast to be what I usually ordered but he said no, those are thighs. Let's just say those 'Schwarzenegger' chicken thighs must get more exercise than any others being raised in America. But I understood his intent. He wanted to be done with this problem and he is. I've chosen to fix ALL of my meals from scratch now because I have found recipes that match the taste of Cubbie's chicken. I have it pre-prepped in my freezer, ready to fix without someone feeling short changed at my dinner table. And I'm saving the extra cost of buying from fast food shops that don't care what they sell. So, if your purchasing dollar matters to you, check your order before you even pay for it. A family member shouldn't have to do without simply because a fast food shop tries to provide a cheaper piece of meat pretending it is the same value and quantity and you're left paying the higher price for less.
