I've been coming to this place for over a year now and I'm done. The employees are miserable, zero personality while being snotty. I wish I could have less interaction with them but the item I look for is moved every time I go in. They also must be having money issues during their renovation because the Dr Pepper products are non existent every time I go in. I hope this place fails.... read more

Recently Cubbies in Bennington had a site overhaul in November/December 2025 to combine the deli area with the Godfather's kitchen area. I was a regular return customer who splurged once a week to pick up fast food. Unfortunately, ever since they reopened, there has been a problem with my order. The first week I ordered the 'big box' meal and one cooked chicken breast separately. The clerk put the chicken breast in a flimsy small plastic bag with no way to seal it. He put the biscuit in a flimsy plastic bag, and the 'tender meal in separate small boxes. The condiments were tossed on top, no larger bag to put everything into for safe transport. At home, I discovered the breast was actually a back. I have worked with raw meat for 50+ years and know the difference in weight and color of a back and breast. That single piece cost $3.99 for about 2 ounces of actual usable food. I went back and showed them and they replaced it with an actual breast. They insisted they don't sell chicken backs. The following week, the 'big box' meal was minus any gravy or a biscuit. I still paid full price even though this was at 5pm, a time when they should have prepared for more sales. The following week I again got a back instead of a breast. I returned and showed them the difference in color of the meat (dark instead of light) and the difference in the actual amount of meat. They replaced it again. The last time I tried to order, I spoke to the manager quietly and politely, suggesting he might want to have a discussion with the rep at Chester's Chicken who provides the raw meat Cubbies buys. I then asked for a chicken breast from the over-flowing basket of chicken pieces we both saw in the display case and he stated, 'there are no breasts there now'. I pointed out several that were certainly large enough and shaped like a breast to be what I usually ordered but he said no, those are thighs. Let's just say those 'Schwarzenegger' chicken thighs must get more exercise than any others being raised in America. But I understood his intent. He wanted to be done with this problem and he is. I've chosen to fix ALL of my meals from scratch now because I have found recipes that match the taste of Cubbie's chicken. I have it pre-prepped in my freezer, ready to fix without someone feeling short changed at my dinner table. And I'm saving the extra cost of buying from fast food shops that don't care what they sell. So, if your purchasing dollar matters to you, check your order before you even pay for it. A family member shouldn't have to do without simply because a fast food shop tries to provide a cheaper piece of meat pretending it is the same value and quantity and you're left paying the higher price for less. read more

I stopped here sometimes to get lunch during work. They have a nice selection for burgers and chicken. The staff is always friendly as well! The coolers seem to always be stocked. The nice thing is, that if you have time, you can eat your lunch right there. With several booths available it is nice to tale a little break from the rush of the day and enjoy your freshly prepared food. read more

Second time ordering pizza on line from Godfather's at Cubbys. First time a month ago, order was never placed, so I waited and got pizza, good pizza. second time today, ordering online, got an email confirmation stating what time the pizza would be ready and i prepaid for it with a tip. Same problem, order had never been placed. I asked why this has happened twice, Liz Martinez , employee there told me i should call to confirm order, I told her that an email had been sent confirming order, so I shouldn't have to call. She yelled at me and said "you need to leave" I asked for my refund and left. Customer service is disappointing now. Used to be good. Too bad for Bennington. Will never go there again. read more

Time is price Godfathers weds; can't beat it. The clerks are very friendly and always serve me up a full tank of gas. Plenty of drink options to choose from. And the velveeta cheese is the lowest cost you'll find in the tri state area. Be aware of the natives and construction workers rolling in. They aren't friendly and their boots are muddy. Tobacco prices are not cheap, but if you need a quick fix, stop on in! For beer... well my friend, they've got everything you need to make it through the night by numbing the pain when you go home and have to face the so-called family you've created. ***@@@ update, WELL all good things must come to an end...
