An amazing extensive menu including burgers, hot dogs, salads, and Irish favorites like shepherds pie and pretzels. They have over 15 drafts beers on tap plus bottles and cans. Liquor is also extensive and great options. Front of restaurant has four tables for smoking and dog friendly. This is an old town Conyers classic pub. Owners are friendly. Food is good. Try the fish n chips! I heard the shepherds pie is awesome. I was hoping for some chip shop curry but I know it's hard to find. I was looking for a late night snack, everything was closed or closing but Celtics Taverns Irish Pub was open til 2am. I followed the GPS down a dark road it look deserted all the shop were closed. As soon as you make that right there it was lights, music and people. We walked inside grabbed a seat. We were greeted by a friendly waiter he handed us menus and asked us what would we like to drink? We were unsure so he gave use a sample of some favorites one of them was a grapefruit and a California beer we ended up getting. I ordered the lamb Shepards pie it came with a side i chose a Caesar salad. It was good. The shepard pie is like a pot pie with ground meat and mash potatoes on top baked. My mother got the fish and chips. She had to choose from a regular or jumbo she ordered regular and it was alot came with fries, 2 hush puppies 3 fried fish cold slaw. My cousin ordered the Angus jalapeno burger and it cam with a side, she chose mash potatoes. We enjoyed the food. The atmosphere was friendly they had darts, TVs and great country, alternative music. I was sitting at the bar for which gives you a view of the platting of the food going out. I had just only had Tater tots they were with the chicken dip that is their famous dish needs seasoning no flavor. So while I was sitting there there were plates waiting to go out I do believe it was the owner that was moving food around on the plates with no gloves I saw him fix a drink then go in on the plates! A little small hole in the wall. I always like to go to different place. So we thought we would try it. The building I'd Old and the floor shakes when people walk by. I love it. First time visiting the Tavern. Our waiter was Ryan. He was an absolute gem though they were fairly busy for a sunday he made sure to never make it seem so cont. Checking in on my husband and I to make sure all was alright. The food was honestly great can def say well be returning for some more. Downtown Conyers is such a cute little spot. I didn't even know they had a "downtown district". Two coworkers of mine wanted to venture out and I obliged. The inside is nothing to write home about but I'm more concerned about how the food tastes than the decor. Fish and chips were one of them. When they arrived, when my coworker took her first bite, I heard the crunch. I was floored!!! You couldn't miss that sound. It was jaw dropping how crunchy the fish was. She upgraded to sweet potato fries and said those were good as well. The gentleman with us ordered a grilled chicken wrap. He didn't order a side. Keep in mind everything here (or what we ordered at least) was a la cart. Nothing came with a side except the fish and chips and she was charged 3.00 extra for switching the fries out to sweet potato. Back to the wrap....when it was delivered I was in shock at how large it was! No side was needed! He said it was good. I myself ordered a burger. The hostess said their burgers were really good. Cajun rubbed beef, onions, pickled jalapeños and comeback sauce. Yes please. I asked for my burger to be cooked medium but it came out well done. The patty itself lacked flavor which is odd since it was supposedly Cajun rubbed. The bun was much larger than the patty. I ended up removing the bun all together. I also had a side of veggies. This place seems very cozy from the outside but I've never had a chance to eat here until recently. Needless to say, it was a pretty disappointing experience. The worst part was definitely the food. One of the burgers we ordered was undercooked, they lacked seasoning, and the fries were very obviously prepackaged frozen fries. They were flavorless and soft. None of the food was restaurant quality and not worth the price. I felt like they just served a bunch of prepackaged food they bought at Walmart. Not bad. Not bad at all. We went before the rush on Valentine's Night. The live music was good. The service wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. My wife had the shepherds pie, and I had fish and chips. Everything on her plate was delicious. My fish was a little overcooked, and they were out of fries, so I got tots. That didn't stop me from eating all of it. We got bread pudding for dessert. very unsure how to rate the place. It has good food(some of it excellent), drinks at fair prices and a cool owner and nice staff. You may ask whats the problem?
