An easy stop in olde town Conyers, service is fast and friendly. I always stop here if I want a good burger and a Guinness (and maybe a shot of Jameson lol). Staff is wonderful about a proper Guinness pour and the burgers and fries always slap! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Shout out to the hard working staff keeping this placing clean and cooking![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you & Happy Holidays Celtic!

Ordered a cosmopolitan . Had to order a side of Tito's so it tasted like a Martini. Came for a burger, only to read on menu they will only cook Medium or Medium Well. I questioned this and was told chef would prepare a MR for me. It came out grey like a frozen burger would when cooked. I couldn't eat it. The fries were very delicious. I ordered a Reuben. So disappointed it had mustard slathered on it. The service was so friendly, but drink was so weak as mentioned and question the freshness of the ground beef when it can't be cooked to order.Reuben looked delicious, but had the mustard on it.I prefer traditional. It was 13.25 without fries. I warmed it up at home it was very good, but for that price fries should be included. I want to add as I left the restaurant, a server followed me and apologized. That was very nice. So I recommend the restaurant, but not the burger. Also don't order their drinks from the bar a martini should have two ounces of liquor at least . I also recommend reading the menu carefully as my lunch was $37.17.

Went to Old Town Conyers for the Juneteenth event and decided to stop by for a bite to eat. Immediately greeted upon entry, its self seating so there was no wait. Our waitress came over right away to take our drink orders which followed fairly quickly after. My daughter and I both got the Celtic Burger w/ fries lunch special which came up to $30 including our drinks. Not a bad deal. Burgers cooked as asked and well seasoned. The portion was good. Overall restaurant, our tables, chairs and utensils were all clean and we didn't have to remind the waitress to bring us anything. Cool neighborhood spot, I'd definitely go back. Staff and guests were all very friendly though the Crowd wasn't diverse.

It was a cool spot. Our food was good, not really full of flavor but decent enough. The lemon pepper wings were good but they had too much seasoning on them, the fries were good and hot, the Reuben and the cowboy brisket sandwiches were good, the beers were good but the old fashioned drinks were very weak. I ordered them made with different whiskeys and they still didn't taste like anything. The dip was very good!! The brisket quesadilla left much to be desired, it was bland and the only thing that made it kind of tasty was the bbq sauce. Honestly, the customer service was ok but 9/10 we won't return. That was a long drive to try something new but be disappointed.

We came here late, since it was one of the few places open. We had the buffalo chicken sandwich and the fish and chips. Portions were small, but decent prices. Both were very good. The service was too. They played music and had a bar with a good variety.

One of the score boards on the wall next to the dart board. There are 3 in total, just ask the bar tender for the darts!

Had a great experience here the other night with a friend. We stopped to grab a drink and sit outside. There are several cafe-style tables with chairs right out front facing the Main Street in Old Town Conyers. It was a week day so it was pretty quiet outside but Old Town is pretty cute with a few shops and restaurants on the same street. I love the vibe of the tavern as well as the fact that you can play a game of darts (just ask the bar tender for the darts). I completely forgot to take pictures of the place except for the photo I took while we were playing (because I was ahead so I had to document it of course lol). The staff was so nice and the prices are really good! We each tried a different local beer that was on tap but there ended up being an issue with the one I ordered. Our waitress came out with a glass 3/4 full and said that the keg had blown and this was unfortunately all she could get out. She was so nice and told me of course she wouldn't charge me for it since it was only half full (but honestly it was almost full). We ended up ordering another round of beers, each trying a different one again. The price depended on the beer but they were all around 5-6$ for a pint. I have been to a couple of taverns / bars in the Conyers and Covington area and this one is my favorite by far. I will definitely be coming back :)

Tonight we made our way to The Social Goat in Covington, Georgia. Before we even get to the food,…read morethis is the kind of restaurant that has a personality all its own. Goat-themed artwork is scattered throughout the restaurant, including some fun paintings that immediately caught our attention. The atmosphere feels more like a cozy tavern than a traditional taco restaurant, with dark wood, booths, and a comfortable setting that invites you to settle in and stay awhile. One interesting piece of local history is the building itself. We learned that in 1906, this building housed an antique market. Think about that for a moment. If someone was selling antiques here in 1906, some of those "antiques" might have been from the 1800s. More than a century later, the building is still serving visitors, although these days the focus is tacos rather than antiques. Covington itself is worth mentioning. The city has become known as Georgia's Hollywood of the South, with more than 100 movies and television productions filmed here over the years. Fans of The Vampire Diaries and Sweet Magnolias will recognize many locations around town. If you're visiting the area, there is plenty to see before or after dinner. Our server for the evening was Jordan, who provided friendly service throughout the meal. The menu features eleven different taco varieties, which immediately created a dilemma. Narrowing the choices down to just three was not easy. We ultimately chose the Fried Fish Taco, the Philly Taco, and the Sesame Ribeye Taco. The tacos are available as a trio, allowing you to sample three different varieties on one platter. The meal also came with chips, salsa, and queso, making it easy to share and compare flavors. Let's start with the Fried Fish Taco because it ended up being my favorite of the three. The fish itself had excellent flavor and was cooked just right. The taco was topped with a sauce that brought a unique flavor to the experience, and the crunchy slaw added texture that worked beautifully with the fish. Every component contributed something to the overall bite. This was the taco that surprised me the most and ultimately earned the top spot in my personal ranking. The Philly Taco finished a very close second. If you're a fan of Philly cheesesteaks, you'll immediately understand the appeal. Loaded with shaved ribeye, peppers, onions, and cheese, it delivered exactly the flavors I was hoping for. It was rich, satisfying, and packed with flavor. Sometimes simple combinations work for a reason, and this taco proved that point. The Sesame Ribeye Taco was the most unique of the three. The sesame-soy flavor was bold and immediately noticeable. I enjoyed the flavor profile and appreciated that it took the taco in a different direction than what I typically experience. Rather than trying to imitate a traditional taco, it offered something distinct and memorable. Anyone looking for a creative twist on a taco will likely find this one especially interesting. One thing I appreciated about the trio platter was the opportunity to compare very different flavor profiles side by side. The Fried Fish Taco offered a balance of fish, sauce, and crunch. The Philly Taco delivered familiar comfort-food flavors. The Sesame Ribeye Taco brought a bold and unique flavor profile to the table. Each taco had its own personality, which made the comparison part of the fun. The chips were crisp, the salsa was fresh, and the queso provided a nice complement to the tacos. Combined with the trio platter, it was more than enough food for a satisfying meal. The Social Goat manages to be more than just a taco stop. Between the historic building, the goat-themed decor, the welcoming tavern atmosphere, and a menu filled with creative options, it offers an experience that stands out from the typical restaurant visit. If we return, and there is a good chance we will, there are still eight taco varieties left for us to investigate. The Social Goat Tavern 1115 Church Street Covington, GA 30014

Then, I successfully visited once for lunch right when they opened at 11:30 AM on that Thursday and again for late-night snacks/drinks that Friday. The pub was enjoyably empty for lunch right when they open, so I recommended that timing! We received a warm welcome; undivided attention; and the just-opened vibe where employees are cheerful and ready to talk about specials in an energetic and authentic way. The vibe is cool---definitely fits the bill for a pub: dim lighting, wall decor, wood paneling. The service was excellent. Our server took time to explain the menu and specials and accommodated our substitution requests with grace. My chicken BLT with no B ($18.00) and extra avocado and extra spicy mayo ($0.50) was delicious, fresh, hot, and a good portion. It came with fries. I would definitely order it again! The second time I visited was with a group of people for drinks around 10 PM. We got a private space in the back with TVs, fans, and thrones (yes, thrones), which was cool. I forgot to take photos. I ordered the Meehan's margarita ($14.00) and sweet potato fries ($6.50). Both tasted great and hit the spot!

What a great idea! We started with a few pretzels with the beer cheese, which were fantastic. Then I was craving the Reuben, which was better than I even remembered. Not massively big but some of the best flavored meat I've had in a Reuben in a while. You can tell they cook it themselves and it was really super!
