This project was pretty complicated and included numerous upgraded electrical elements, fully tiled walls, a zero entry shower, relocation of walls and reconstruction of a linen cabinet. The resulting bathroom is spectacular and we couldn't be more pleased. Mike and his team, led by Chris and Juan, are the ultimate in professionalism. His electrician, plumber, tile specialist and plasterers are true experts in their fields and take great pride in their work. His painter's work was flawless and the carpentry, including building a new hall cabinet and door to match the decor of the house was perfect. They also completely rebuilt our basement stairs turning the old step stairway into ones much safer for us to use. In addition to the great quality of work, Mike and each of his team took care to protect our belongings and respect our home. They carefully covered furniture and moved things with great care. When the project was completed, he brings in a cleaning crew and leaves everything spotless without a trace of construction dust. We will definitely be using Mike again for future projects and have recommended to several friends and family members. The crew who worked on our house was wonderful - they consulted with us about everything they were doing to keep us informed and up to speed on the process and the updates that needed to be made to the plan (it's a 130 year old home, that had some unexpected nooks and crannies - but they handled all the changes and updates to the plan with MassSave for us). No problem, but then when McEachern came out, the problems began. They didn't seem to know what they were going to insulate in my house, however we worked through it. Once they arrived for the job, the foreman "hadn't even spoken" once to the owners about the job and the foreman seemed confused about what work to perform. I wrote a quick email message to Christine at McEachern and she became argumentative (this wasn't the first time). Basically, they did a HORRIBLE job smearing silicone over painted cedar shingles, left a huge mess for me to clean off and then took off. Before they even came, they wanted me to put a box vent on a small portion of my roof (the main roof has a ridge vent). So, I was forced to hire a roofer to put a ridge vent in, which cost me $1,000. Run. Run away from McEachern, even though they've been doing this for years.
