And the one person there at nights is usually uninterested in helping you out. One girl was watching a movie on her iPad when I wanted her to help me find something specific. To be one of the first liquor stores to open in Benton Kentucky since the dryness has been lifted,…read moreit has far greater choice, and quality than one would expect from a small-town liquor store. A variety of reasonably priced to moderate wines for every taste & meal, and a good selection of ales & lagers in six packs, as well as larger cases. The whiskies are a nice representation of the best to the cheapest Kentucky has to offer, and are well-selected. The choice of wine coolers & cocktails isn't to be belittled either. I managed to find a nostalgic flavor of Bartles & James I had been told by several stores was discontinued at this store! My only downside is that the cooler section is not quite as large as one would want in a larger store, but this is a smaller store, but it keeps it from a perfect rating. So whether you live here, or are just making a pit stop to grab something, then this is the place. It's right off the parkway, has a great selection(they even have Korean soju & Japanese sake), reasonable prices, and the staff is knowledgeable & super friendly.

We had the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and turnip geeens. The turnip greens were so good and my wife said the chicken was very good. I had the fried pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and okra. All of it was delicious! For dessert we had blueberry lemon cake and coconut cake. Pictures do not to them justice. They were so huge the lid barely closed on the to go box. It was like 1/4 of a cake. We left there stuffed with four to go boxes for two people! Highly recommend!

They all sound great, so it was really hard to choose. There were 5 in our party, we were quickly seated on a brisk rainy Thursday for lunch. I hear they are usually very crowded. All were really pleased with our food. I thought the hush puppy and the white beans were too salty, but flavor on everything else was great. The coleslaw was fresh and tangy. Check out the pictures.

Ordered meatloaf because of the review by others. It was so heavily filled with bread crumbs as a binder, a couple of my bites were half bread. The mash potatoes I ordered were very lumpy, come on! Unless this is a Kentucky thing I don't know about, it's the modern world, cream the potatoes in a mixer if you're too weak or to lazy to mash them right but don't ever serve lumpy potatoes and let others try to figure out why. My mac and cheese was straight up Velveeta boxed or at least a chose second in comparison. I liked it fine in grade school but I grew up. Since the food wasn't good I just watched the staff to take my mind of the money and time I wasted. The waitress bussed the tables picking you the dishes and glasses without gloves or washing hands before serving food and drinks again. You know what I mean, she does get a cart or platter, it's just a I'll make this in one trip grab. I'm left wondering will I get COVID again from my visit to Jojo's Cafe, did they here in Benton learn nothing about food service protocol? I guess not. No redeeming quality found during the lunch service but they say they have all day breakfast, , , hmmmm. Naw.
