Where do I even start?…read more We started planning our wedding over a year ago and visited several venues, including another Wedgewood location. But the moment I walked into Wedgewood Rio Hondo, I knew there was something different. I first visited with my sisters and met Tamica. Even though we had already visited another location within the same company, the welcome we received at Rio Hondo was night and day. Tamica made me feel at home. Wedding planning can be incredibly stressful, but she immediately made me feel comfortable and cared for. The next day, I opened my email and saw a message from Tamica thanking me for coming in. No other venue had done that, and that small gesture meant so much. We still had one more venue to visit, this time with my fiancé at the time . It still wasn't the one. I texted Tamica and asked if we could pop in really quickly so he could see what I had seen. Sure enough, he walked in, saw my vision, and we both knew -- this was it! We went home, and BAM -- the date was set! From that moment on, the entire planning process was practically stress-free. We were given a wedding binder, an amazing team, and so much support. They listened to our ideas and, little did we know, their wheels were turning full speed behind the scenes. They allowed us to plan at our own pace while making sure everything was handled. They even hosted a wedding fair where couples could meet the vendors and taste the food -- and let me tell you, the food was chef's-kiss perfection! Our day-of coordinator, Kali, was absolutely amazing. She made sure rehearsal went perfectly, and on our wedding day, everything ran so smoothly. She checked in on both of us throughout the day, made sure we were okay, and even grabbed us a shot when we needed one! The flowers from Little Blue Hummingbird were absolutely beautiful and brought our Mexican-themed wedding vision to life. Thank you, Annie and team! Our photographer, Elmer and his team at TNK, captured every special moment beautifully. During our family pictures, I felt a little tap on my shoulder. I turned around and there she was -- Tamica, the woman who sealed the deal. I immediately started crying and hugged her so tightly. Because of her, we were standing there celebrating our wedding. She will absolutely have a friend for life! A successful wedding needs an amazing DJ, and Dustin absolutely rocked it! We created our playlist together, and that dance floor literally never stopped. Omar, our bartender, was put to the test because we knew our bar was going to be busy -- and he handled it like a champ! And last but certainly not least, Katherine, our banquet captain, was wonderful as the night came to an end. She was so patient and helpful while we packed up all of our belongings.
