Where to start we were out for fathers day breakfast where our travels started in Warwick and ended here, seeing as we were heading to the Vets Cemetery for a visit to some well admired fathers. we were a party of 5 and couldn't get in anywhere. so on an off the cuff move we stooped her. They were booked with reservations but the chef looked over and said feed them. I was like great. So I went and gathered the others and were seated. They were serving family style and made to your liking omelets. We started with coffee and juice, then a great puffed pastry, then a fruit cup, then we all went up and had our omelets made by Brendan the chef. in the process the family style meal was being brought to the table. wow, there was a plate of sliced prime rib, a peach chicken w/shitake mushrooms dish, pancakes w/ a great berry fruit sauce, Potatoes. baked beans with bacon. and then that was topped off with a nice Volcano brownie. The coffee was great and never stopped being offered. The service was excellent and the food was also excellent. You could ask for more of anything if you choose. we ranged in age from 19-80. The greatest thing about the meal was that we tried everything and was truly satisfied and full, the whole party really enjoyed the meal. I am a person who is big on not wasting food. the great part with this meal was there was just enough for all to try everything, we did have seconds on the pancakes with the berry sauce and we did have a couple pieces chicken and a slice of prime rib left over ( mainly because of the full bellies at the table) for the four legged child at home. The ingredients were local, and after talking with chef Brendan and the well informed waitress, we found that they have many special events and they have monthly local farmers dinners. Brendan tries to use as much local ingredient's as possible. He also stated he changes the menu every three months or so. Yes we could have hit the cozy or one of the Warwick locals and got away cheaper. but the introduction to the Celestial café was a pleasant treat and the regular menu will bring me back the prices look reasonable and the food from all I ran into was highly complemented. Many in Rhode Island have that but it's all the way in Exeter syndrome. I enjoy the ride out there as much as I enjoyed my fathers day breakfast with some of my favorite people. I tried to steal the bill but to no avail my significant other would not hear it so I owe her one. we almost turned around and headed for route 2 but she said lets drive up a little father (great call) So for 11 years I have never even heard of this place. Take a ride enjoy the scenery and give it a try. There are many reasons I will return, The food, the service and our waitress was excellent and friendly, but most of all for the invite on what was for them a very busy day where they were gracious and accommodating enough to go out of there way to seat a table of 5. We grew up in RI but now live in Florida (thankfully). If this place existed when we lived here, we would have been here all the time. I attended my brother's funeral in the Veterans Cemetary up the road and my niece set up an after-funeral meal here. She thought they had a private room but they put us in a corner by ourselves which was okay. There were about 15 or 16 cousins. The food and service was excellent. They even prepared gluten-free versions of everything for one of my nieces. We had family style veal, chicken, fish and Alfredo pasta. The bruschetta was the best I ever had. The next time we are in RI for a family event or class reunion, we will definitely be back. read more

Most professional, caring and hard working staff I have ever seen. I told the owner Brandon to expect 40 to 50 people following my nephew's memorial service and ended up with 92! Brandon, Marney, and their staff responded quickly, and, with only an hours notice, adapted to the change and fed all relatives and friends great tasting Pasta, Chicken Marsalla, and Chicken Parm. The chocolate mousse dessert was made fresh. I can't thank you enough for creating such a caring atmosphere and constantly checking on my family to ensure no detail was left unattended. Amazing food! Tons of glueten free, low sugar options on the menu and super accommodating staff. We love that they use beef tallow in the fryer and cannot get enough of the fries! They don't advertise this but the oil is high quality olive oil, not seed oils! The fact that they source local produce and even have their own micro green supplier are a huge win for local businesses and definitely fit within the Exeter culture. The farm dinners each month are also a huge draw for my family and such a great experience. read more

We've been here several times and it's always amazing. Today we had the baby back ribs made with an incredible braised tomato bar-b-q sauce and an awesome eggplant dish over pasta. Chef Brandon ( who has been invited to be on "Chopped" and definitely deserves the recognition-- hope he wins!) surprised us with a special battered asparagus starter. We didn't have room for the strawberry cheesecake flan with homemade ice cream but that leaves more to look forward too next time! Can't wait read more

We ordered the oysters, sushi, a Bloody Mary, and the Dog Beach Bowl, and everything was excellent. The service was fast and friendly, making for a great overall dining experience. After sitting down we waited about 15 minutes before a server came over to greet us which was pretty upsetting. Once the server arrived she took our drink order and shortly came back to tell us that the sparkling water we ordered was unavailable. This is understandable as the restaurant has just recently opened back up, but the fact that she proceeded to leave our table again for 10 minutes was not. We watched as other tables spoke to their server often, and tried frequently to get the attention of ours. We had to practically beg her to order. Once we placed our order the food came out in a timely fashion. The food itself was solid, but the service was just so bad it makes me hesitant to want to come back again.
