Nancy and I met a few friends here for one of their monthly Celestial events for Virgo's. You don't have to be a Virgo to attend which is cool but I have to say it's a great way to meet new people you could be compatible with. If you arrive early enough, before 7pm, you can catch the happy hour specials. Beer runs between $6-$9 a fancy Bourbon drink like an old fashioned will cost you $18+. Michael, the gentleman that coordinated this event is super friendly and welcoming. Michael was able to secure a free photo op area for attendees, a saxophone player, and a medianto perform tarot readings for a cost. I don't know a lot about the hotel but I can say it is extremely clean. The lobby and restrooms are gorgeous. They have large enclosed area out back that is perfect for outdoor events. They also have a decent sized pool and covered area where they could have a band. For those of you that love space shuttles, they have a selection of NASA rocket models enclosed in glass in the lobby. Not the largest display, but still cool to see. All-n-all, I recommend checking this hotel out if you're in the area even if it's to visit during one of their monthly Celestial events. read more

Really excellent hotel to stay at, and in my opinion, probably the best hotel on the east side of Orlando! Love the modern, classy, and elegant rooms. The walk-in shower is absolutely fantastic and the bathroom itself is large. The bed is comfortable and from the room, you can get some great views of the UCF campus. Location is solid and is relatively close to a lot of places you want to go to. I also love the bathrobe that they provide. I do wish the parking lot was a little better lit. While I never felt unsafe walking to my car, some brighter lighting would be appreciated. But overall, excellent hotel that I would want to stay at again :) read more

Nice room with coffee maker, desk, large tv. Pretty standard room for a Marriott property. The front desk staff were nice but kind of slow to acknowledge me. The self parking is about $13 per night and in the parking lot right outside of the hotel. It seems like parking should be free for a $200 room in the Orlando area. The bar had happy hour until 6pm but I didn't get a chance to go. It looked like a nice ambiance in that area. Great location to UCF campus which is why I was staying there. read more

I had an incredibly pleasant stay at Celeste. It is the newest hotel around the UCF area and has a space theme to it, setting itself apart from the nearby hotels. Room: I got a standard King room. Fairly standard size, but was very comfortable. The space decor and ambience was very relaxing too. Shower spacious with a rainfall head and handheld. The toiletry they had (Beekman 1802) is goat milk based was great too! Food: There is a bar and the Aurora restaurant on property, as well as a 24/7 convenience shop for your needs/snacks. Along the walls by the Aurora entrance is a display of NASA missions throughout U.S history. I had brunch one day and their fried green tomato wrap was amazing. Just a really flavorful breakfast wrap. Service was a bit slow l, but their food and coffee was great. Parking: $12 per day for self-parking, or valet for a bit more. Amenities: there is a pool on site that has cabanas you can rent and order cocktails. Next to it is a pretty open courtyard area for hosting events. There are also ample seats and tables outside. The fitness center is right by the pool and has a couple bikes, ellipticals, and treadmills. Further in the back are dumbbells that go from 5 lbs to 70 lbs for you gym bros. There are two benches as well as a smith machine. Housekeeping did an excellent job and the front desk was extremely accommodating with toiletries when I needed them! I would definitely stay here at the Celeste again! It had a lot of character without overdoing it. Food was pretty good and they include happy hour. I had a free night to use at Marriott, and opted to use it here during the hurricane as I live in St Pete and needed to evacuate. The hotel is up-kept, staff was friendly and acknowledged my platinum status. The room was clean, lobby is beautiful. They allowed pets during the hurricane; I'm not sure what their normal status is as far at pets. Their bar was limited at the time, with just beer and wine however that was just during the hurricane and is probably back to normal. I have no complaints about my stay here. read more

Went to Celeste's lounge after Leeanne Morgan show. Nobody ever stopped by table to take order. After waiting patiently for around 30 minutes, went up to bar and waited 15 minutes to place orders for drinks and appetizers. Terrible, terrible service. read more

This hotel is our go to when we visit our student in Orlando. Not only are the rooms spacious and beautifully appointed, but the outdoor pool and corn hole area is an added bonus. The hotel restaurant is top-notch and worthy of a visit even if you are not staying in the hotel. There are plenty of hotels in the University area but this one definitely stands out as a destination versus a place to lay down your head. The staff is congenial and always happy to welcome us back. The lobby bar makes outstanding cocktails and Foxtail coffee made to order definitely get your day started on the right foot. Keep your eyes open and fairly often you will spot a local sports figure or UCF alum visiting the hotel. Conveniently located right at the edge of campus this hotel is perfect for visiting your student or attending orientation. Brand new Marriott property (only open for about a month) on the edge of the UCF campus. Looks like a solid spot for small conferences or meetings. Minimalistic and space themed to align with UCF. Comfortable beds and accommodations - ideal if you have some overnight activities on campus - football games, registration, etc. Negatives are it's literally on Alafaya so lots of road noise and weekends can be even noisier from the traffic. Our main hub of power between the beds was controlled by the same wall switch as the lamps. No big deal except the fact the lamps can't be turned off with a switch. End result, to have power to the plugs and USB ports, I had to remove the fixtures and bulbs. This was after calling the front desk and them not really having a solution except for "telling the engineers." This visit was more of a 3.5 for me and definitely had the capability to be a 4 (for this class of a hotel) based on location and newness. After a long day though, I gave it a 3 until they get the kinks worked out. read more

What a beautiful new addition to the UCF Area. This hotel sits across Alafaya Trail opposite the Bar Louie/Blaze Pizza plaza on the NE Corner of Alafaya and University. The hotel has ample parking (at least until it reaches full occupancy). Everything is brand new so it has that new hotel smell (no air freshener can capture that). There are quite a few conference/event rooms in this 5-story hotel. Staff was welcoming, lobby was clean, and the Aurora restaurant/bar on site was pretty good. This hotel has a bit of a space theme to it. I was only there to dine, so I didn't get to check out a guest room. There is a pool and an outdoor courtyard and you can walk to many other places to dine and hang out as well. Usually when a newer hotel goes up, that's where people want to stay. read more

Excellent stay here this long 4th of July weekend and would definitely return! I had always wanted to stay at The Celeste because I am a big fan of The Aurora (one of the best restaurants in the area). Booking online via the Bonvoy app was easy, as was my check-in. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed. I asked for a room away from the elevator and that's exactly what I got. The gym is available 24 hours and there were enough treadmills and equipment to be useful, as well as towels, sanitizer, and water. My only "gripe" was that the room itself smelled a wee bit "fusty" but a travel candle fixes that. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great. The pool area is perfect - large enough to fit 3 cabanas with a 4-foot pool that allows you (mostly) to sit outside the direct sun and the music they play in the area is nice and low. I even complimented their pens and they sent an extra one up to my room! The Celeste can also be used as a meeting space for conferences and, if I were still in event coordination, I would find an excuse to do something special here. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to return. read more

'Celeste' is a female name derived from a Latin word "heavenly". The Celeste on UCF is a Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotel with focus on the celestial matters (stars, space, and exploration). Decors and furnishings are centered about celestial experience including space travel, science, planets, and the stars. My discovery of the Celeste was by necessity; I didn't find other familiar Marriotts near UCF with acceptable per diem. This stumbling was very serendipitous, however. I can say this is one of my favorites, in conclusion, if you want to skip the gory details below. The Celeste is surprisingly nice even though I wouldn't go as far as "heavenly". The outside has the industrial feel, almost unassuming, but inside has excellent amenities and accommodations that are uniquely charming. Decors, furnishings, wall arts are all very well done. It has ample space for professional meetings and family gatherings. It has a decent size restaurant (Aurora) and a bar. I can't think of what the Celeste doesn't have to meet my needs. The king suite is large and well furnished. It includes a bedroom with a king size bed and sitting area and a living room with a pullout couch with working space with 2 chairs. I can't ask for anything else for my travel. The outside is also impressive. Couryard nicely landscaped with ample space for gatherings. There is a large salt water pool is large enough to get good exercise. I'd say the length is about 25+ yards. It is rather shallow but deep enough for my needs. I haven't used the workout room as I seem to run out of time before I can utter the word 'workout'. This is not the failure of the Celeste. I do have very minor gripes: 1. I'm surprised that one has to pay for parking here so far away from the city. $12 for self $18 for valet. 2. Aurora opens at 7 am. There are many of us needing to attend meetings at 8 but would like a good breakfast. Could we open at 6:30 on weekdays? Overall I'm very pleased and will be back!! read more

Hotel & restaurant are very nice but one MAJOR issue that almost caused me to miss my flight is that one of the light switches on the wall turns off all the power outlets near the bed. Phone was at 2% when I happened to wake up early for my flight. They really need to address this and put messaging/labels in the room. read more

Booked this hotel through the Marriott app. Checked the price of the room which was within budget of my corporate policy for work. When I got the bill the first night was $194, second night was $999. When I asked what happened the manager said they were oversold and due to my Marriott reward level I bumped other guests so was charged a higher rate. The Manager ended up giving me a 50% discount but wasn't nice about it and I had to ask politely multiple times what he could do to help me because my company was not going to pay that amount. He didn't offer the discount up front after I explained my situation. This is very poor customer service for anyone but especially for someone who is a platinum elite member. I also told the Manager had I known the second night was going to be billed at $1k, I would not have stayed there. It wasn't my fault the rooms were oversold and $194 to $1k is a steep increase. That did not seem kosher. Check your invoices y'all. Long story short, will not be staying there again. read more

Stayed here recently on a trip to see my daughter who attends UCF. Hotel is conveniently located right on campus which is a plus. Near lots of great places to eat and snack with. Hotel does not offer adequate training to their staff members, nor to management. My children were profiled and harassed, simply for being Hispanic. White female employee by the name of Andrea mistook them for someone else. The children she mistook them for were white, blue-eyed, and blonde hair, but she targeted my children because they look Hispanic, and figured it must be Hispanic children causing ruckus. God forbid it was actually a white child the one causing disruption. Manager Orlando did nothing about it. Simply allowed for a staff member to harass, and verbally attack my children and myself. Orlando promised to do right by us by crediting us our stay, but did no such thing. This also occurred to another family we were with, and he promised the same to them, with no actual outcome from his promise. In the past week we (both families) have called, left voice messages and emails with no response from Orlando. Not sure what type of Manager behaves that way, but he shows zero managerial skills. This hotel allows their staff to behave poorly with no repercussions. That also includes the manager, Orlando, who acts like an unprofessional fool, with no repercussions for his actions. Would highly suggest staying somewhere else. If you are traveling with family, I would not recommend going with children. Staff members treat, well-behaved rule following children, poorly and target them unprovoked. Not a child friendly hotel. read more

I have stayed at The Celeste on more than one occasion and they have always been so pleasant and accommodating. They have a restaurant with a full bar on property which is in the lobby that serves pretty good espresso coffee drinks in the mornings. I have not eaten at the restaurant. There is a pool on site with cabanas that can be rented for the day with servers who will bring you fruity cocktails if you like, right to your lounge chair. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. The entire hotel is space themed and space is part of your room decor too. It is not over done though, it is understated but still obviously there. There is valet parking available and of course self parking is an option as well. It can be really expensive during the football season if you try to book on a home game weekend, but if you watch you can find really good deals. It literally is right there on campus just a few hundred yards from the guest building where campus tours take place. Check it out! read more

We unexpectedly stumbled upon this hotel and after reviewing the online photos we booked a two-night stay. When we arrived we were promptly attended and so happy to finally rest. Our first impression was "wow" it was clean, spacious and beautiful! Our suite was elegant, stylish, beautiful, and it made us feel at home. The showers have a full bottle of shampoo, conditioner, body wash & lotion! The room has a modern design and the showers are large. They have a spacious pool but we didn't use it because there was a tropical storm. The staff was all fully attentive and went above and beyond to serve our family. We went to Aurora for breakfast and the food was delicious! The potatoes were tasty and we devoured our food. It was worth every penny. I usually take pictures but I was into the moment that I totally forgot to take them. Which never happens. Overall, we had an excellent stay and we plan to stay there again when visiting the area. Exceptionally clean and I would recommend this place for sure except there's only one drawback Being that is across the street from UCF. The college students can get a little loud like some guy driving his motorcycle 100 miles an hour up and down the road till 11 at night and then he or some other fool got on their electric guitar in plastered it for another hour and a half. Bougie hotel that is epically comfortable. I booked it not knowing it was the boutique hotel for the UCF... Frat/sorority row is steps away. They have a great little bar, a restaurant that's not insanely priced, and a nicely appointed weight room and pool. The front staff were welcoming, and the room is really nice. The bed is comfortable, and the soap smells pretty decent. My only complaint is that the parking situation is not awesome, and after you spend a bunch of money to stay, it's $12 more to self park... So far my experience has been meh. The not so good: The room is...okay I guess. I got a room with a doorbell that activates a loud siren. It's supposed to be for people with disabilities, but for some reason they gave it to me. The rooms across the hall do not have this feature. They do not have a laundry service or any way to wash your clothes. They do have a dry cleaning service, but if you're needing to clean gym clothes or something you sweat in (and we're talking about Florida here) it's probably not going to do any good. I'm here for a three week business trip, but it doesn't look like that was taken into consideration at all. My room is right next to the elevator on the 2nd floor, so as you can imagine it's loud pretty much all the time. People are yelling and partying at midnight, 2 AM, 4 AM, or any other time I have woken up. I can sleep through it fine, but it is what it is. If I was a light sleeper I would be upset about that. The refrigerator is very small and there is no microwave. When I called to schedule room service, the whole exchange was pretty awkward. Obviously, in three weeks I'm going to need fresh towels and new trash bags. She tried to talk me out of it and said "due to COVID" they can only make the bed, change the trash, and give me fresh towels. You would think if they were worried about COVID they would be cleaning more - not less? I'm also vaccinated, so I'm not too worried about that. They do not have a mask policy for vaccinated people here, so it doesn't really make sense. The girl also didn't seem understand the hours and changed them during the course of our conversation and even exclaimed "dude!" at one point. First the hours were from 7-11 and later in the conversation it changed to 9-6 or something, so obviously my requested time of 8 AM no longer worked. No idea what that was about. She seemed confused and frustrated, but I just wanted a clean room. Smells weird. The closet smells like a stinky person and my "clean towels" smell like a dog. I'm serious about that. I know what a dog smells like, and the towels smell like a dog. The shower head looks great in the pictures, but it's perhaps the cheapest, wannabe "rainfall" shower head I imagine exists. The water pressure is laughable, and the tiny streams shoot in all directions. It's not great. The okay: You get free WiFi, but you have to reauthenticate every 24 hours. Except one day where it was broken and would not allow me to connect. For the most part, though, it's not terrible. They gave me two free lukewarm bottles of water. The good: The exterior of the building looks amazing. The lobby is clean and stylish. The pool looks decent. I'm not big on swimming, and I'm busy, but if you are you will definitely like that feature. Solid gym. I haven't used it yet, but it's definitely more than enough for a hotel. They have disposable headphones you can use, and towels that hopefully don't smell like dogs. Plenty of charging outlets and ports. As a spoiled millennial, I need every single one of these for my iPhone, my iWatch, my Macbook, tablet, and my airpods. Overall: The place puts off a vibe that it's upscale and luxurious, but it's really just an average hotel. Next time I come down here, I'll definitely be staying somewhere else. read more

This is a pretty expensive hotel so I do not feel like experience we had matched the price we paid. Parking is not included. When you get to the room everything is "by request"- more than two towels (to be "eco friendly"), toiletries, ironing supplies, etc. Also, there's a sign in the room saying if the street noises are too loud for you, they will give you ear plugs. Not a good start. There isn't even an ice machine, you have to go to the bar in the lobby and ask the bartender for ice. On the first night we tried to have dinner in the hotel and were turned away because they didn't have availability. We went out and bought dinner and some fruit, overnight oats, hardboiled eggs and coffees for breakfast the next morning to stash in the mini fridge in the room. When we went to put it in the fridge we realized that it was very warm. There's a button in the fridge that says "push for 2 hour chill." What? I went to the front desk to ask if they could put our stuff in a different fridge overnight, one that stays cold for more than 2 hours. They said they couldn't because it is an OSHA violation. Instead, they sent a very well meaning kid to our room to switch out the refrigerator for a new one. Two hours later the fridge was still warm and everything we bought was unsafe to eat. The next morning, I ordered myself room service (the one thing I was trying to avoid, being car-less and unable to go anywhere). I was charged $35 for the worst avocado toast I've ever eaten on untoasted white bread and a side of berries. Ironically it was the same amount I paid for the spoiled food I bought for breakfast. When I went to tip the server, she said gratuity was already included. Of course it is. Would I stay here again? No. They are eager to charge ridiculous prices for everything. It was pretty clean, I'll give them that, minus the mildew in the shower. There's a nice gym with filtered water and free headphones. The Wifi was fast. It's close to the college (we were there for a graduation). That's about all the good things I have to say, unfortunately. read more
