My only issue was with the necklaces I purchased from them that were supposed to carry my father's ashes. We went back to purchase two necklaces and Mike took the necklaces into the back to "fill them" with my father's ashes. With all the grieving, afterwards we realized we didn't bring my fathers ashes with us when we purchased the necklaces. Mike told us they had some of my fathers "leftover" ashes in the back??!!! Which leads me to wonder, whose ashes are really in the necklaces I purchased??!!

This is the fourth time in nearly 20 years that my family has used Shaughnessey-Banks funeral…read moreservices; my Dad, my brother, my Mom and, now, my 26-year-old son. In that span of time, changes at the funeral home have been inevitable, but one thing that remains constant is how the staff delivers a professional, compassionate and unsurpassed level of service meant for royalty. Pam, Becky, Terese, and the rest of the staff attend to every detail and never fail to treat me like family. During my last ordeal, they wrapped around me with comfort and, in turn, made a devastating situation of the short-lived life of my son bearable. In fact, just knowing my son would initially arrive from out of state into Becky's blessed hands helped me in the earliest moments of our trauma. First, he asked us to follow the hearse in our car, then halfway through the ride, he blew a yellow light and kept going. At the cemetery it was rush, rush, rush. The final blow was, as I collected the other half of the funeral home's payment from my sister, the Mullins guy took my place as pallbearer and carried my mom to her grave without me. The other pallbearers protested, but he ignored them. We were in and out of the cemetery in about 20 minutes. This was as cold and uncaring an experience as I've ever had. My sister left in tears over it. And I was robbed of the experience of carrying my mom to her final resting place, all because the Mullins guy was late for lunch or something. My family will hurt for a long time because of it.

So we set a time and was told Mr. Morton's wife would be there, but the barber sat and waited for a half hour and nobody ever showed up. To make matters worse Mr. Morton told me they would line him up and they didn't. Then we wanted to get a belt to someone to complete his look and they even gave us the run around about that, it is sad that you are in the comfort business but you didn't provide any. Not only that but they tried to charge us $100 extra, saying an IT person had to be called to help with dismantling some pictures for the program. Where is your compassion and professionalism. My cousin didn't look anything like himself. They even had the date he died wrong on the program. Stay away from this funeral home I would never use them or recommend them!
