Long story short, we did not receive the service we were promised, and at that, it was extremely disappointing. Here are the details: - We were told visits to the home would be 30-40 minutes and the cats would be played with. The four visits to the home were: - Day 1: 7 minutes - Day 2: 6 minutes - Day 3: 5 minutes (Had not gone to the house until we texted at nearly 10pm asking if he was going over.) - Day 4: 3 minutes Total of 21 total minutes over a four day period when the agreed upon time was 120-160 minutes. (These times were confirmed by a video security system.) When I returned home, both litter boxes in the house clearly had not been tended to the day before (how could they be during a 3-minute visit?) It was a mess. The weekend after returning, we contacted Jeremy via text to arrange a time to get the house key back. Two texts were sent (Jan 4 and Jan 7) and neither were responded to. We went to Jeremy's home where we were met by his father who fetched the keys from Jeremy's car sitting in the driveway with others' house keys. I contacted Jeremy after the new year and asked him for a refund for the portion of the fees we had paid him that he did not fulfill. Jeremy did not respond to my message. I talked to John on the phone about the type of training he thought she would need. Just through the phone conversation I learned a lot about what he was able to do for our family but also for my pup. He gave me some advice over the phone that I could start practicing with her. Even though my zip code was a few miles out of what their website says they cover, he still was willing to travel down to my house for training. He has a package of 3 initial trainings(which he says is usually all most people need) and then additional ones if needed. I was looking around at petco/petsmart trainings but they did not seem like they'd be helpful since theres only one person with up to like 5 dogs and the things they were teaching seemed like stuff I could just find online myself. After our first hour and a half of private session and consultation, my little Ellie has shown tremendous( if not the most I've seen in this short amount of time) improvement! I also actually have a structure of a training regimen I can practice with her now until the next two sessions which are flexible in timing. ALSO, he brought toys, treats, and chews for Ellie to use for her training and to keep afterwards! Great surprise! HIGHLY recommend their in home training with John. He has extensive knowledge on training and understands the way dog's minds work and how they communicate which is very important when bonding and training your dog. It is also private 1 on 1 training so the whole hour and a half is all focused on your dog and it's needs unlike the retail store training. It is all positive reinforcement training so nothing negative! I am already confident that this was worth the time and money only after our first session and about as much as I would've spent on the petco or petsmart training! Sure it is half the amount of classes I'd be getting but the quality covers down. Not trying to knock the big chains, but the training just isn't the best out there. If your dog is sick she will take him to the vet. She will check your stove for you when she comes to get ur dog, it's like having a friend you know you can count on. 4. She is completely transparent in her business practices. You can actually come and see where the animals rest, where they play, what toys they use ect. I have been to many doggy daycare centers where they won't let you back to see these areas... um... sketchy? Her space is COMPLETELY puppy-proofed and she watches the pets closely. 5. She is incredibly flexible with special diets, medications, changing feeding schedules, ect. As a rule of thumb she only feeds healthy whole nutrient snacks like carrots and green beans, but if you want your dog to have something special she will follow it.
