Cedar Falls Tree Farm is a really beautiful bit of preserved nature that keeps the gorgeous natural setting while also running a family business. There's a nice spot for parking and you are greeted and the process explained to you upon arrival. There was a roaring fire just off from the greeting area where you could enjoy hot chocolate or cider and warm up after trekking through the property. The trees are randomly planted throughout the property with lots of variety in type and size. The tags on the limbs let you know if they are available. We were pretty surprised at some of the massive trees available for purchase...as in how does one even transfer one of these beasts let alone get them in your living room?? But I digress. We also really enjoyed the trails and just walking around the beautiful property. Such a nice change from having all the trees just planted in a line or just picking one up at the local grocery store. So many tree farms have been going out of business and selling to housing development companies so I loved seeing this beautiful business protecting so much natural habitat. Prices were ridiculously affordable for the size and beauty of these natural grown trees. They also wrapped the tree to make it easy to attach to the top of our car. It was a really magical experience that we highly recommend.

Definitely more low-key than some of the other bigger operations but so perfect for our family. There were goats, they were pumpkins, and there was a little mini pumpkin maze, which was just there . The vibe was exactly what we needed. We went on a rainy day, but managed to find a two hour window with a little bit of sunshine. Couldn't have been better! They've got all different types of pumpkins that you can either pick yourself or just choose off the shelves. There was also a craft fair with holiday crafts. Oh! And a really nice restroom!! Lots of parking too. My only suggestion might be to have a few places to sit down along the long path to the corn maze. I'm recovering from a back injury and that might've been a nice addition. Highly recommend!

It's early in the season and the pumpkins were fresh on the vine to cut (they provide shears) and all looked in perfect condition. They also have a large variety of carts, wagons and wheelbarrows to borrow and pull into the fields. Prices are vague and not clearly listed; it also didn't help that the staff was confused what to charge me for a white ghost pumpkin I picked from the field. The main barnyard area has a nice aesthetic with a photo op area and tractor kids can sit on. There's also a small goat area too, because you can't go wrong with animals. Other attractions included a corn maze that was a bit further, that we decided to skip. There are small children's areas within the barn including a mini tricycle track, corn pit, hay maze, but they honestly weren't memorable. Overall it's a smaller local pumpkin patch farm for a basic visit, but there's definitely potential to grow.

We checked their website and saw they are open Friday thru Sunday and decided to give it a go. They are tucked in a bit away from the road but that just means it's nice and quiet around nature. There is a one lane dirt road that winds back to their farm. There is plenty of parking and port a potties if you need a bathroom while there. They were super friendly and had buckets pre filled with bags, but we brought our own produce bags for picking to be more eco friendly. There is a great amount of space in between their blueberry bushes and very limited weeds to contend with. They directed us to where the best and ripest berries were and even had one outdoor tent you could use and move it to help protect yourself from the hot day. They had TONS of ripe berries- even the smaller ones were sweet and tasty... "try as you go" they told us so we did. This farm began with road side farm stands in 2020 and then in 2021 they had the blueberry bushes and U Pick that exists now. There are four families that band together to make this farm work. There were a couple families working under the farm stand tents when we checked out. They accept cash or credit card and blueberries are $3.99 per pound. We picked ~9.25 lbs of berries. We like to freeze our berries to use throughout the year. They said they don't spray their berries and are organically grown. We would definitely return to Fable Farm!

Initially I was worried about going out this far from the city because we are queer and weren't sure just how welcoming places out of the city are, but they were great and we didn't feel unwanted at all. We berry picked at three of the rows they told us that most of the picking was being done, they don't spray things on their berries so they told us we can snack while we pick. We ended up leaving with some of their honey and a jam as well. Would recommend this place to my friends and anyone looking for berry picking!
