We couldn't stop salivating over the delicious mushroom ravioli after our tasting; and 2. We immediately felt comfortable with Carla - we loved her personality and story. I worked in food service for about a decade so the food and beverage service for our wedding was very important to me. We are SO glad that we went with Far Out. Carla and her team were absolutely amazing at every step of the process. I'll give a few examples: 1. Taste: So many of our guests told us that this was by far the BEST food they have ever had at a wedding. People were literally searching us out to tell us this because they were so impressed. There's always the fear that the food won't taste as good as it did at the tasting, but despite the fact that we were in a county park and there was no onsite kitchen, the food tasted just as we remembered it. 2. Service: The team was so on top of everything and just generally so sweet that it created a great ambiance for the wedding. We missed the appetizers due to taking photos and were a bit disappointed. Carla found out and the team quickly made us a personal platter of each of the appetizers. Carla was communicative, but not overbearing and made us feel that everything was in good hands. For example, during the wedding we made some slight changes in timing because people were loving the appetizers and cocktail hour, so we pushed back dinner about 30 minutes. Carla and her team worked it out seamlessly and no one knew that there was a change except for us. 3. Above and beyond: We bought all of our own alcohol and mixers and the team came by our house a couple of days before to pick everything up so that we didn't have to drop it off. Amidst all of the last minute to-dos, this was a huge help. Later that night, as Carla was looking through the items, she realized that I had forgotten to pick up lychee for our signature cocktail. She communicated with me and I said that I would work on quickly trying to find it the following day. What I didn't say is that I was nervous that I wouldn't find it due to the holiday--and not sure how we could pivot because they'd already finalized the printed menus. Before I even had time to look, Carla texted me early the following morning and said she had found the item and already picked it up, so I didn't need to worry about it. We definitely made the right decision going with Far Out. I honestly wish they had a restaurant so I could eat that ravioli again!

It was super convenient having them coordinate the table design at their warehouse, including the linens, plateware, and glassware. While the design meeting isn't a "boutique" curated experience, their warehouse has plenty of options to choose from if you already have a general color palette and vibe in mind. On the wedding day, the staff was extremely attentive and brought us hand rolls before cocktail hour even started to ensure we actually got to eat. The live hand roll station was a massive hit with our guests and absolutely delicious. I also appreciated how open they were to our custom cocktails; I provided my own recipe and li hing powder for a pineapple li hing margarita, which they executed perfectly. Cost-wise, this is not a budget vendor and is on the more expensive side. However, the full-service, high-touch planning and day-of experience, from the tastings to the seamless coordination of all design elements, completely justified the price. ZAZZY was easy to work with. I let them know what I wanted and how many guests were expected and they gave me a quote right away. I felt prices were reasonable! They also helped me customize that cart which added a special touch. The day of the reception, ZAZZY arrived on time and set up quickly. Our guests were trying to get soft serve before they were even open! It was a smooth process from my first inquiry with ZAZZY until the very end of our reception. We are so glad we booked ZAZZY. We didn't get the specialized name plate and just opted for standard. Unfortunately, we didn't get the basic "Popcorn" or "Gelato", it was just blank (see pic). We had an issue with the flavors we requested. I didn't knock off any of their stars for this because we had to wait so long for the Venue to ok Zazzy that we didn't have everything in place until 4 days after they gave us the flavor options. So we had to go with whatever they had. As for the popcorn, they didn't have the traditional kettle corn, they had Churro corn. It probably would have been nicer if it was fresh. It was already popped and in a canister when it arrived. Someone else noted that the buttered popcorn was a little stale. Not sure when it was popped, but it was already popped when I took the attached pic BEFORE the event. They could have done better with the quality of their popcorn. As for the Gelato, absolutely no complaints. It was delicious and the almonds didn't taste stale.
