I had a mostly positive experience at this hotel. I was arriving a few hours earlier than my wife and check-in (with the dog and cat) went relatively smoothly. The room was clean and had a few extras (mini-fridge) and the hotel had a pool that I would have used if I were in a different mood. Parking was a bit tight later in the evening and so we had to park a little ways away which was no big deal. Early in the morning the fire alarm's battery in my room started dying and when I brought this to the attention of the front desk they eventually decided to knock the pet charge off the cost of my room. I would have given them five stars if I didn't have to say 'eventually' in that last sentence. For what it was, a hotel on the road, it was perfectly acceptable. read more

Smoking Smoking Smoking!!!!!!! Everything below is negative but I do want to say something positive: the guy we dealt with at the front (I think the owner) was VERY nice!!! He gave us a refund w/hesitation and with total understanding. So, despite the info we saw online, all rooms here are smoking. We decided to try since we were already there. But holy shhhhh!! HORRIBLE service! Booked a stay here through hotels.com. Had to cancel the day of the reservation due to a death in the family. Called the hotel and spoke to Sam who told me they wouldn't charge me but that I had to call hotels.com. Hotels.com had to call them to confirm that and were told that the manager is out til Monday (this was Thursday) and they couldn't authorize the cancellation or a refund. I tried calling Cedars again and a VERY rude woman named Cam refused to let me say even 2 words together, just kept saying "I can't do anything. I can't contact the manager. They don't have a phone or any way for us to call them." I WILL be calling the manager on Monday, not just for a refund, but also with a LOT of complaints. Even the people at hotels.com said, "you're right, they are VERY rude!" read more

Not thrilled for the price we paid. Hotel staff seemed disinterested in helping and that is probably putting it nicely. The room stunk, it looked there was poop on the wall, holes and stains in the blankets and it looked like a 4 year old did the maintenance of the place. The hotel was full when we arrived and the following morning we went down with about an hour to go for the complimentary breakfast. They were out of waffle batter for the waffle bar, sausage gravy was out, milk was warm and the whole area was a mess. When asking the employees about it they disappeared and then the chick that looked like Jabba the Hut had attitude and said there was no more. You'd think a hotel that was booked up would plan to feed a majority of their guests. We will never stay here again. read more

Cedar's Inn RV Park is a very poorly maintained facility. We checked in but couldn't find a site where the power worked. They refused to give us a refund. American Express had to go to bat for us. Sleep by the side of the road. You'll be better off! read more

Drove through town and needed a place to sleep. There was a pool which was nice, the kid at the front desk was friendly but not very helpful. The ice machine was broken, the Internet out, the ac in my room didn't work and when I went to check out the kid told me I couldn't fill up my water, which was weird I thought. read more

No hot water for a shower first thing in the morning before everyone else was using water. Continental breakfast was not much to speak of except they did have a waffle maker to cook your own. Usually stay here on trips to Montana but seems as though this place might be starting to slip in my opinion and I might need to look for another place on my next trip. read more

Smells like smoke in most of the areas of the hotel. I swear I was being bitten by something in the bed but we couldn't find any bugs. Breakfast was hostess donuts and crappy juices. The beds were kind of comfy. The light in the bathroom was uncovered and had a wire hanging out of it. The shower curtain and walls were dirty. It seems like they spend a few dollars updating the lobby and ignored the rooms. If you have to stay here it works. If not then keep moving. read more

Booked a room at least two weeks before arrival via phone. After a very long 5 hour road trip we arrived after dark only to be told they had no record of our reservation! Given the front desk clerk's deadpan facial expression it was clear that he was lying, had rented the room out from under us. No vacancy. Hoop fest in town for the weekend (not why we came but no vacancies anywhere!) Thankfully when we ran into the Bronco Inn across the street they had JUST had a cancellation.. so they saved the day. Will never consider staying at the Cedars Inn given how we were treated. read more

Ritzville is a bit of a hub because of the HWY junction. This is a decent hotel. It isn't as cheap as it would be in a different town. The rooms are so/so. This hotel is good for a weary traveller, but a far cry from the Ritz. The Best Western is much nicer, but if you're just passing through head to the Cedars. It has dispensable liquid soap and shampoo in the showers, clean linens, expanded basic cable and Wi-Fi. The staff has always been friendly. There are a few offerings in the AM for breakfast: mini bagels, powdered donuts, fruit juice, coffee ect. Not a bad place to stay 1 night. Note: I've never had to stay in a smoking room. read more

Come early or make a reservation: rooms were filling up fast because it was right at sundown and lots of people had stopped to get off the highway and sleep. It was comfortable, quiet. I chose it because there was a Yelp special offer. It isn't a resort hotel or anything but its not terrible either. Waffles are part of their free breakfast in the morning. There is a pool outside, corporate chain coffeeshop nearby. read more

This hotel was dark, dirty, and overall unappealing. It was so bad that I felt like my poor kids were going to get bed bugs just by staying here, and I was freaked out for them to even touch the floor. The reason we chose this hotel was for the location, and that it boosted of an outdoor heated pool. Well, when we got there, the pool was disgusting, and it definitely wasn't heated. We put one toe in and decided to go elsewhere. The front office staff was rude and every time I went out to ask something they were on their personal cell phone. The breakfast was over crowded and definitely wasn't worth the wait. AND the room did smell like smoke even though it was technically a non-smoking room! Overall experience was TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE! read more

Totally ripped off by this fleabag motel. Paid in cash night of arrival, made to sign a charge slip for one penny "to make sure card good for incidentals". Not only does one penny "hold" still get charged to our bank account, but 100.37 room charge shows up as charged to account not "held". On way back from vacation, give him the chance to say "oh sorry, just a mistake" and reverse charge. Man becomes totally hostile, will not let us see folios, holds thumb over signature (which was the one for one cent anyway) told us it was "illegal" to show us the receipt, that he could only show it to bank, even though cardholder and bank statement and IDS were all standing right in front of him. TOTAL SCAM ARTIST AND CRAPPIEST HOTEL OF THE ENTIRE TRIP AT ANY PRICE, which by the way start at $88 not the $49 advertised here. SHOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Wish I could give a negative 5 star review. Will update in ten days on Bank investigation, which fraud officer said they are much more aggressive in pursuing now. Hope this guy gets what he deserves. read more

Be very careful with this hotel. We went in to sleep for one night but never got that far. They ran my card and said it failed so they ran it two more times before they said it finally went through. I checked my bank account at this moment via online banking and saw they had charged me 3 times for the room. I challenged the charges and Cam became belligerent, patronizing and profane. We decided to leave and her cursed at all the way out of the lobby by Cam who told us to leave the property. We left and had to challenge all three charges through our bank as the hotel wouldn't drop them. The end of the story? No, two days later there was ANOTHER charge by this hotel on my account, again unauthorized. My bank is investigating what this property is thinking they are doing. Stay away, drive to the next town or sleep in your car. read more

This was a hundred bucks for a double queen in nowhere land. Ok, but breakfast was included, so should have saved me a few bucks, right? And the clerk talked it up, but dont believe it. It was crap. Bottom line, you can make your own waffle. Big whoop. It was only carbs and sugar and a few tired oranges. No OJ left, no hard boiled eggs like she promised, and no one around. Bagels the size of my pinkie ring. Really this was too much money in an old cramped room with a continental breakfast whose only real selling point is being in spitting distance of the interstate. People...think twice before staying at this motel!!! Wouldn't take our coupon from the coupon book, due to a fair in town, NO hot water, t.v. VERY OLD, box spring/mattress on the floor, not in a frame, room smelled like a wet dog, and wouldn't credit our account when we checked out to go to another motel. Thank heavens our credit card co. DID credit our account, so they didn't get paid for the night from us.!! Not recommended by us for sure!!! read more
