The entire lake shore was littered in rundown boats, kayaks, jet skis, buoys and other debris. And I do mean covered, I felt like I was looking at a post apocalyptic resort scene. Of the 12 guests camping while we were there, it was incredibly obvious that 9 were living long term in the campsites, resulting in a trashy rundown atmosphere, as well as the uncomfortable feeling you were encroaching on someone's home, rather than a mutual campsite. The owner was basically MIA and the person who I suspect is managing the property drove around the lot constantly but didn't offer much help or direction. It was obvious that they had recently renovated the public bathrooms, which included showers but when we paid four dollars for a hot shower (as advertised), there was only ice cold water. The general impression and feeling was unsafe, uncomfortable, and incredibly disorganized. Our children kept saying they felt like they were on an episode of Trailer Park Boys, which pretty much sums up the experience.

The owners harass you constantly about where you walk your dogs. There is one tree that they allow you to have your dog around. Yesterday, three of us had to organize times just for our dogs to go pee. It's literally one tree! Aside from that, there's trash and debris scattered around the camp ground along with a bunch of construction machinery and trailer homes.

We are not interested in a membership so our charge was $75.00 a night, Labor Day 2023. For that there is so much to do, especially for children so actually a very good value. The shuttle service to the casino and nearby. Businesses is a wonderful convenience. The services include trash pick ups. There are even adorable cottages available to rent with golf carts. The property is very walkable, with a convenience store nearby. The community center is very lovely and the staff very helpful. The only suggestion I have for improvement, to get to the dog park, you have to walk all the way to the end of the row. It would be nice to have a pass-through in the middle of the long rows.

Beyond that, this is an unimproved dirt lot with 8 (?) RV sites and absolutely nothing else except dirt and weeds. Don't expect any of the amenities offered at most other RV parks - no grass, no walkways, no office. "Basic" is not even close. The WiFi was right next to our coach and we still had to hold our phone up to the window to get service. No stores or restaurants in town, which is mostly boarded up.

To see the actual location, refer to Google Maps. A lot to like here, and it's all dry camping. But if you are used to metro area conveniences, be ready to drive 20+ mins, with Suncrest being the better option, vice Reardan or Wellpinit. It's a pretty drive, wherever you decide to go. Sites here are spaced nicely for semi-privacy; meaning, it's nice to have a quiet space, but it's also nice to see neighbors 30 yards away. A full camp is a safe camp this far out. If you have a travel trailer, don't get Site 4. It's set up is 'against the grain' for the 1-way road, and the only reason we made it in was because of our smaller RV. Big rigs? No way. They have these--I guess--decorative rocks to define each camp site. They're in the way, mostly. Otherwise, if you have booked online, it's plug and play. We got to our site; name on the reserved placard; and let the relaxation begin. Easy...

There is a very nice suspension bridge along the trail, and the trail is near a very scenic river. I highly recommend visiting this park.
