Our friends had a room at the Inn which apparently…read morecame with a free breakfast for them, which is why we ended up eating at this establishment. Boy, I do not regret coming here at all! A friend of mine that lives nearby had highly recommended this place as well, especially for their breakfast so I knew that what I was going to be served, would most definitely not disappoint. [Grilled Cheese Sandwich] $6.75 - this sandwich comes with bacon, caramelised onions, and the twist of hot sauce to give the sandwich a kick! I opted to get mine without bacon as I've stayed away from pork and beef for the most part, but my goodness, I don't think I can ever have a grilled cheese sandwich without hot sauce now! I also think I need to always include caramelised onions in everything if they taste the same way they tasted at The Restaurant! I highly recommend this if you don't like eating eggs but your friends insist on going out for breakfast. [Home Fries] $1.75 - I mean, home fries, to me, are a staple for any breakfast so naturally, I had to order them. I did end up dipping them heavily in ketchup + pepper but personally, that's just how I like to enjoy my home fries [Coffee] $1.50 - standard, but necessary drink for the morning! Head of the restaurant comes by with refills often! You pay at the till at the front of the restaurant when you're done eating! Also, they've very good at splitting the bills for you if you're eating with your friends as they just ask you what you ate, and you pay for those items. I'm looking forward to coming back to this place to try their non-breakfast items next time I'm in town :D

They actually have a small cottage literally right beside cottage one. This is absolute bullsh*t as I wanted some peace and quiet and now these clowns are literally 5 steps away from our COttage. Don't waste your money coming to this pathetic piece of sh*t place just to have some f*cking owner 5 feet away from you at all times. Fishing is garbage too. Site garbage. Overall the worst cottage experience I've had in 30+ years

The place is fantastic and each cottage comes fully equipped with everything you expect and more - bed sheets, all cooking equipment, spices, abundant amounts of plates cups and utensils. The owners are extremely friendly, and also keep chickens and sell freshly-laid eggs (I didn't get a chance to try though). Also on the premises is a games room equipped with a ping pong table, a pay-per-use pool table, foosball table, shuffleboard table and a pay-per-use washer/dryer. The cottages and chalets (we've stayed in both before) all come with electric heating, as well as a wood stove to keep yourselves warm. The water is clean and drinkable. The washrooms are updated and modern. The larger cottages and chalets come with a pull-out couch that will fit an extra couple people. BBQ and associated tools are of course included. On the Summer trip, we went canoeing on Lake Eugenia (the resort has a beachfront on this lake, and they rake their shoreline of all the debris that occasionally washes up). Past the road bridge, lake Eugenia is very vast and beautiful. There are also paddleboats to use, and both of these are included. Kayaks are rentable at an additional cost. All the buildings have easy access, but the chalets are the ones that sit closest to the waterfront. On our Winter trip, we used the cottage resort as a base and went to the nearby Blue Mountain ski resort (about 1/2 hour), coming back to cook delicious meals. Some key things you may consider packing: -aluminum foil, plastic wrap, soap, shampoo, bath towels, large roasting pans if you bake meat in the oven

Amazing location! Ski in, ski out, right in the village and all the action. We had a loft suite…read moreroom and it was perfect for our family of four. Parking garage was great. Hot tub and other amenities were on point. Never waited longer than a minute for an elevator. Staff was attentive and while they were busy, they definitely all deserve five stars. We would definitely stay here again. With that said a few things of note: 1. We were never told about the ski lockers or provided our combo for the lock. Perhaps a newbie ski family mistake for not assuming, but also frustrating. 2. I had called about clearance height for vehicles as we wanted to use our Thule on our SUV. The front desk was not much help. Had we known there is a valet lot for vehicles with rooftop boxes, we would have done it for the nominal fee. As I am sure many parents can relate, driving in a snow storm when you can't see out the rear is not fun... roof box solves that. 3. The restaurant on site is lackluster. Service is on point; however, food is just alright and pricey, it is chaotic, and why in the heck only "reservations get window seats" is a policy is beyond any family we spoke to. All these awesome window tables looking at the village and lake that go empty because "walk ins" are subjected to interior seating despite all those tables being empty our entire dining session is beyond me. This isn't Manhattan. 4. The restaurant bar, given how nice the rest of of the hotel is, looked pretty sad. You could see all the shelf lighting was defunct, it looked tired and not well kept. As a business owner myself, and for how front and center the bar area is, my gosh keep it tidy, lit up, and gleaming with some pizzaz. Thankfully for those of us with older kids it is open until midnight, and once again the staff is Johnny on the spot, but geez it has seen better days. I realize it sounds silly, but this hotel is pretty awesome and with the large lobby the bar area should be the North Star, not something I look at and wonder "are they closed already?"

This hotel looks newer which is really nice to see as most hotels often have been around a while. The interior welcomes you with a nice spiral staircase to the next floor. (you enter on the 2nd floor BTW). There is a bell at the front desk if no one is manning the area. The rooms are nice with a sitting area and bedroom area. there is one TV that can be faced into either area for viewing and a nice little wet bar with fridge. One the first floor you will find a spa along with the pool and workout room. The machines in the workout room look very dated and only one treadmill seemed to want to work. In the same parking lot is a Boston Pizza so you don't have to go far for dinner and the hotel serves complimentary breakfast in the morning. The really nice part is that they have real eggs, not powdered or preformed ones you find in other places. From the hotel you are short drive to shopping and restaurants. And if you like to take long walks/hikes the preservation area is close by. You can walk the trails for free but if you want to park it's $5. They will take US currency on a 1 for 1 exchange or the front desk will exchange small amounts for you. Internet seems to work pretty well with few issues. Overall I am pleased with this hotel, and having never stayed at a Best Western I may not overlook them the next time I am looking for a hotel.

I had called two nights before my stay to confirm the details and to also request if we could possibly check in a bit early due to the timing of the wedding and time we needed to get ready. The woman I spoke to said she would note it but could not promise anything. I understood that but was happy to have the request in. Normally check in is 3pm, she said she would try for 2pm. I was pleasantly surprised when we were able to check in around 1:45. That was so much help for us as we'd traveled a long way to make this wedding and need just a few extra minutes to take a break and get ready. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and modern. Didn't feel crammed into the room. The coffee in the room was not great. I like the easy set up of the machine but the coffee didn't taste very good. The coffee available downstairs in the lobby was much better. I do not expect to be in the area again so I don't see myself returning but if I did, I would happily stay again.

They have one EV plug in here that is free to use but slower for charging. The guy that checked us into the hotel didn't really seem all there. This hotel is dog friendly and we had 2 pooches with us. It seems like they put most of the dogs on the first floor. The lobby had a microwave out there for common use and free coffee was laid out here in the morning. They have a restaurant here called Bishop's Landing that does all meals. As for the room, it was comfortable. It definitely could have been cleaner. There were rogue hairs everywhere in the bathroom, particularly the shower. For example, there were ones under the bathmat that waved hello as the water ran under it. The hotel is located right next to the marina and there are paths that you can take for a scenic stroll at sunset. Not the best stay but for one night, this would probably still be my go to place to stay in Owen Sound.

We had 2 very bad experiences here. 1. The fire alarm was triggered at midnight. No one knew what was happening. The concierge was a poor part-time worker who didn't know anything. My friends went down to check and found firefighters were already at the front door of the building and all residents were sent to another building in front of the hotel thus my friends told us to go, too. Many residents said they were informed to evacuate ASAP. However, nobody informed us during that time. There were many ways to inform us and we even called the concierge. We were lucky because it was just a false alarm; otherwise, we would be trapped inside the burning building. 2. Our card was charged an unknown amount after checking out. It happened after we had checked out for an hour. Fortunately, we were still having breakfast in the village and had not gone off yet. We went back to the hotel and they just told me that was a mistake and gave us a refund immediately. Although they're small things, however, it showed it had some troubles with the management. The price of this hotel wasn't cheap so that's unacceptable.

Mosaic is located next to the conference center and it seemed like most of the guests were business clientele. This was nice as it was very quiet for us during our stay. Check-in was pleasant. We had booked passes for other events with Blue Mountain and they printed out our wristbands for us at check-in so we had everything up front. The room that we had was large and comfortable. It was a one bedroom with kitchenette and living area. There was a door from the bedroom to the washroom and one from the common area as well. The kitchenette was furnished with basic cooking supplies (spatulas, ladles) and dishware. There was a built-in stove top into the counter so you could definitely get your chef on. The room also had a fireplace which I was excited to use. It didn't work on the first night so I reported this to the front-desk staff. They had maintenance come and look at it while we were out of the room and had it up and running by the time we got back. I usually give the room a quick wipe down and I'm pleased to report that everything was spic and span. There wasn't any surprise dust that got picked up. Mosaic has some amenities including a year-round heated pool and a hot tub. The fitness area is located here too. You can pick up towels here for your workout and the pool. In the middle of our stay they closed the hot tub for renovations. They were able to provide me with a key card to the neighboring Seasons suites so we could use that one instead.
