We had a pretty view of Crooked Lake eight months out of the year and a peaceful forest around us the remainder of the year. There's a dog park across the street if your dog gets bored of the other dogs in the complex, and Hastings Lake Forest Preserve right behind the complex. There's a nice playground across the street too. You can also walk to the Butera grocery store, Lake Villa Library, and other places in Lindenhurst. This is a great place to live.

I've been a resident here for three years and I have really enjoyed living here. The leasing staff…read morehave always been nice, responsive, and supportive whenever an "issue" has come up. The maintenance staff are all also nice and knowledgeable, and have always been tentative when I've placed a work order. The buildings and the grounds are maintained, and cleaned regularly, and even when there's an occasional "issue" like side walk ice, a broken door, or an overflowing dog poop trash can the problem is take care of quite fast. I've had great neighbors, above and below me, and naturally when your sharing a building with a diverse range of people and families you get random load noise, funny smells at dinner time, the occasional load movie/music/or kid crying, I can't complain about living here. The pool and the facilities are great (sometimes crowded just with all the families in the community over summer), and the gym is 24/7 - though small it has everything you need. The lock boxes for packages are great, and I appreciate that your personal mail boxes are right in your building lobby. The neighborhood is clean, I love all the trees, and with the complex being well lit, and actively patrolled by the local police for presence, I've always felt comfortable and safe walking during the day and at night here. A lot of the residents I've gotten to know over the years have been here in my building longer than I have, and have all enjoyed it as well. The leasing company has added things to the community over the years to enhance living here and I've appreciated the community. I've had a great experience here, and I hope all the new and current residents do as well.

Then even if your heat goes off 28 times and one night they won't replace your furnace for 2 years and you'll freeze every night for 2 Winters. Then they will try to charge you for carpet and paint when you leave , even though the county there and requires the repaint after every tenant and replace the carpet every 4 years , and if the carpet was almost black even though it was beige when you move in , it is in need of replacement if you have been there almost 3 years . So once again illegal charges harassment and filth .

Great location right off the highway, directly beside…read morethe Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets, not far at all from decent shopping centers (Best Buy, Target, Costco, Kohl's, JCPenney, Woodman's, Gurnee Mills, etc) and restaurants (Olive Garden, Cheddar's, Panera, etc). Not to mention you're directly in between two major cities: Chicago and Milwaukee, with a quick 45-60 min commute you can get to either of those two cities and have plenty of things to do. The clubhouse amenities are very nice, so far we've personally only used the pool table but they have an excellent 24 hour gym and yoga room, as well as a fire pit (couldn't use the fire pit when we visited the clubhouse because it was covered in snow) and some grills, which we are waiting until the wintertime ends to try them out. The downside is that unlike luxury apartments we've lived in before, there's no valet trash, but there's plenty of space in the community garbage bins to just walk over and toss your own trash bags in there. You can feel very safe here within a gated community with high-tech camera surveillance at the main gate entrance (which can be unlocked via an app, or Siri if you have an iPhone, super cool!) as well as surveillance cameras (resembling a ring video doorbell) at the entrance of the apartment buildings. One thing you'll want to consider is they are currently building new apartment buildings, so construction goes on all day on weekdays. Kind of sucks for us while trying to put our baby down for naps during the day while they're hammering away and drilling and whatnot right outside of her bedroom window, but we moved in after most of the unit style that we wanted was already gone and rented out so we had to take the very last available one, and it happened to be directly in front of the construction zone. The apartment itself is very spacious, and the garage has plenty of room for our full size SUV and loads of storage space behind the car, as well as a chest freezer that we have. We use our driveway for extra parking for our other car, but you can pay extra per month to park in a heated underground parking deck if you so choose, or park in the plentiful ground level parking, which is no additional charge. We love the quartz countertops in the kitchen the most. The one thing we don't like about these apartments is the fact that none of the bedroom/bathroom closets have doors, they're always open and anyone can see what's in it. The only closets with doors are the pantry and coat closet. Not sure why they designed it that way, but it's not a dealbreaker for us. They are also pet friendly. Overall, if you're looking for a great apartment complex with friendly and helpful staff and nice amenities in the Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie area, Breeze Terrace is the place for you! We've shopped around for apartments and toured tons of them in this area until we decided that this was the best one, especially if you commute to work or school in Illinois; this is the place to be!

Washer and dryer in unit I for one just LOVE that amenity, Deep Lake is great! A lot of the units have been upgraded kitchen area and bathroom and looks nice. I still have an older setting but the upgrade while I am still living here is a huge undertaking to say the least its best done when someone moves out. With my years of living here I am eligible for new carpeting but that again is pretty involved while I am living in here and all my stuff, so I haven't pulled the trigger on that yet.

Then, I go to pick the keys up the evening before our move in day. I was told by the OTHER leasing agent that they had finished maintenance but just had to clean up so it may not be 100% tidy if I move in early......cool. I go to move in at 6am and there the toilet isn't attached to the wall, no outlet covers, no closet doors, bathtub disgusting, no kitchen shelves, & the work that is done is half assed. I leave and come back at 1130am- still only halfway done. I come back at 5 O'CLOCK and the maintenance tells me that he just started on the unit that day!!! Long story short, I called the office with angry voicemails and had to clean the unit myself and move in later than what I was charged for.

I've heard (rarely) people comment that the maintenance and/or office staff seem unfriendly, but I strongly disagree! No, you won't find them wasting time or chit-chatting among themselves. Everyone is friendly and responsive to any questions I've asked. The location is outstanding, with easy access to public transportation, shopping, restaurants, airports (O'Hare & Milwaukee) and expressways. We're surrounded by some of Lake County's best parks and trails for walking or biking. Of course, theres always someone moving in or out, but generally the residents remain stable (especially for an apartment complex of this size). I'm approaching ten years of being a GraysPointe renter and have no plans to go anywhere else!
