From the moment we first stepped on campus which is now 5 years ago, it just felt different -- warm, welcoming, and full of energy. The teachers are incredible -- caring, attentive, and truly invested in each child's growth. The curriculum strikes such a great balance between strong academics and creative, hands-on learning. My daughter has grown so much in both confidence and curiosity since starting here and even visits her favorite teacher Ms. Castro. The sports programs are another huge highlight! There's such a great community spirit, and it's clear that the staff..shout out to Mr. Kennedy...values teamwork, leadership, and fun just as much as skill. What I love most is how inviting the environment is. You can feel the pride and positivity in everything from the classrooms to the playground. It's a place where kids are genuinely excited to go to school every day. I love every year they have been introducing new electives from sewing to DnD to even a T Swift club that is engaging for everyone. If you're looking for a school that blends strong academics, great extracurriculars, and a warm community -- Maryhill Midtown is a gem. We couldn't be happier.

From the very beginning, the school has provided a warm, family-like environment where students, parents, and teachers genuinely connect and collaborate. As an Apple Distinguished School, technology and innovation are seamlessly integrated into the classroom, empowering students to think critically, create, and lead with confidence. Beyond academics, the variety of extracurriculars is extraordinary -- from Taylor Swift Club, Sewing, and Pokémon Club to sports and creative arts -- there's something for every child to discover and enjoy. Oh yes and Kids Kitchen ‍ The leadership of Mrs. Kennedy and Mr. Wallis has been remarkable. So each child gets the attention they need. They also provide individual educational plans. The students learn BOTH Mandarin and Spanish. And they also offer global studies. It's project based learning so not a lot of homework and busy worksheet type work. I'm blown away with everything CIS has to offer my child! This school is everything I thought it would be! My child is thriving so much! And it feels like a real family here. I love how small and intimate it is. And I'm really looking forward to my child growing up with her classmates over the years. I highly recommend CIS to anyone that is looking for a unique school experience for their children. It's also a VERY safe environment. Because you would have three month penalty to pay if you need to unenroll your kid, including for financial difficulty reasons, dissatisfaction with school program, etc. My husband got laid off at work and I informed the school about it and hence needed to withdraw my child from the school. I then enrolled my kid in public school. I was informed by CIS that contractually I was obligated to pay three months tuition penalty for withdrawing my kid from the school. We do not have the money for private school at the moment, which is why my kid is in public school. But we still need to pay the three month penalty fee. I do not think that the school needs my 3 month tuition for services NOT rendered, as there are several other students in the joint class but here we are.
