Even pre-made burgers or plain chicken breasts for dogs would have been amazing for people traveling with pets. I only gave 4 stars because I went to the deli last night at dinner time and food looked dry and not great, so I had to order takeout.

The selection isn't huge as they have a smaller footprint but we found pretty much everything we needed in this small town market. Candy, Sprite, and s'mores fixin's for my little cousin, blueberries and oatmeal for my grandma, beer for my husband and uncle, frozen soft pretzels and mustard for my aunt, brats making sausage and peppers for the group for my mom, and Moomers ice cream and cans of Bubly for me. Prices were decent, especially for a smaller market, and they had a surprising amount of locally made goods. Produce selection was a little small (we had to go into Sutton's Bay to get oranges, for example) but all pantry items we needed were easy to find. The shop, because it's small, makes checking out a little challenging when there are more than a few folks in there. At one point my mom and I were looking at the ice cream selection and a line of about 4 people filed behind us. We didn't realize the coolers were adjacent to the second cash register! Navigating out was a challenge but everyone was very kind about it. Admittedly, though I read the amazing reviews for their Indian eats, we did not get any. But I'm definitely game to try it out next time.

The meat selection is also great - I got a ribeye steak and a Snake River Farms American Wagyu Zabuton steak; obviously a little pricey but fair for the quality! I also got a sugar free vanilla oatmilk latte from the coffee bar and it was really good. I would love to have a store like this by my house in Grand Rapids for my routine shopping.

At about 14 a2 to $15 apiece this is one of the rare exceptions where it is a good value because you will get two meals out of each sandwich. We ordered a Tripoli (ham, turkey, salami, and provolone, lettuce, and tomato) and a Gaza ( curried chicken, lettuce, tomato, shredded carrot, and peas) both on rye bread. Both sandwiches were made with high-quality ingredients and we would definitely recommend either of them. Again, I cannot stress it enough, the sandwiches are enormous, and you really should share. it feels like a grammar school, kind of a cafeteria, it's modern and clean, but not particularly in inviting or appealing or charming in any way.
