I already have my eye on some Chippendale dining chairs...on sale. Amen and Amen. If you live in Manassas, you're about 10 min away...you MUST go! I wish someone would help get their name out in the internet-sphere...he's such a nice man and would probably benefit from people finding out about his amazing store. Thank you Daniel, for coming down on the lamp I bought. You made my day and it's absolutely beautiful! The last couple times I've been in there I've noticed more shabby chic furniture which I love! I always find great smaller items in one of the rooms upstairs and the prices have been reasonable. If you're a bargain hunter this probably isn't the place you want to pick up your Saarinen Tulip dining set (though it is available and in excellent condition), but if you're looking for a mid-century ceramic vase to round out your collection, Vintage Swank is a recommended destination.

I've been antiquing for 40 years, (yes, I'm that old-something of an antique myself) and I have also worked at antique/thrift/consignment shops so I'm familiar prices and quality. With that said, most of the prices at this antique shop are exorbitant. Be prepared to drop three "bills" for a rag doll... four bills for a hutch... Look, I know some of these items are unique, some date the Civil War era, but even the brass, figurines and baskets are high priced. I think I saw an old broken wreath for $20. Even that wasn't worth the "poultry" amount. I've seen similar items at other antique shops for a lot less chicken feed. I don't mean to ruffle any feathers, but with all the antique shops in the Culpeper area, save your nest egg for a more reasonable shop!
