Growing up in New York I had many toys/toy brands from Europe and in raising my son I've been looking for a lot of the toys I remember from my childhood. I found my beloved Moulin Roty toys here to give to my son. The selection here is an awesome combine of whimsical aesthetic while simultaneously avoiding much of the plastic that has come to be a part of childhood. They also sell items with coast salish art great for gifting or to keep as your own. We purchased some t-shirts (5 for $20), mugs and maple syrup to bring back for friends and family. And the amount of candles in this little shop was just abundant. I smelled all the candles that were there that day. There were several people helping us find things and telling us about what things were in the different sections of the store. One extra helpful lady helped clarify shirt sizing before we made a mistake (women's cut vs unisex)! I wish they had more stuff exclusively made in Canada, and I wish they had a larger selection of maple candy brands (specifically more with just maple instead of dubious "flavoring"). The value seemed on par with what I would expect from a gift shop downtown. Nothing felt too too overpriced.

They are friendly & very helpful, answers all our questions & made nice recommendations for items. Unique products (baxbear) & the most clean, organized & fully stocked items unique to Vancouver, Canada. Prices are reasonable & many choices that are quality made. Lately I've been inundated with FB ads for a specific made-in-Canada household cleaner and I was intrigued with the product, for many reasons. On the manufacturer's website, it showed that this Coast Goods store sold the products, so I decided to check it out IRL (as opposed to purchasing it blind on the web). This shop is quite small, right on Victoria Dr at the corner of Charles. There are lots of trees on both sides of the street and the area is very residential. Even with GPS, I drove right past the shop initially without seeing it (the canopy of trees obstructed the shop sign and street sign for Charles). FYI. (Granted, I'm not familiar with this particular area). Once you know where the shop is, there are ample free parking spots on Victoria proper. The store interior is small but jam-packed with incredibly well-curated items. I really like that all (or the vast majority) are Canadian-made, and many, artisanal. From jewelry to greeting cards to candles to pottery and dinnerware, from textiles and cocktail napkins to organic cleaning supplies... you'd be hard-pressed not to find something perfect here, for yourself or a gift for others. I like how they carried local artists' works but also a few other well-known companies' works (i.e., Jenny Bird jewelry, for example). The two women who worked here when I visited couldn't have been nicer. They opened up their own cleaners that I was interested in, so I could smell the different scents, and we chatted a bit about all the fun stuff in the store. Great place! I know I'll be back.

You'll find a number of items, food and other items that are very Canada specific, such as Maple syrup, Maple tea, and other maple-related snacks. We also found it hard to find a shop where you can find clothing that lasts and is very comfortable. We picked up a couple fleece and shirts here and they survived the wash and are still comfortable weeks later, and they were such a good price, nearly half of what you'd expect. The deals on standard keychains and magnets were also very good so we bought dozens.
