The owner, Sam, is a scammer. He was pre-paid to do a complete paving job at my house and failed to…read moredo so. He's horrible at returning calls/messages and doesn't communicate at all throughout the process. I had no idea they were planning on starting until I saw he had showed up at my neighbor's to get started. I sent multiple messages and they all went unanswered. I reminded him via text 5 days ago about a part of the job he was hired to do....no response. All the sudden today I see them on the security cam. When I get home I check to see if he did the entire job and he did not. I call him and miraculously he answers the phone and says he'll be back in a couple minutes. I ask him about when he's going to finish the job and do the other section and he says he's done. I walked him around back to show him the other area and he admits that he now remembers that he was supposed to do it, but forgot and now says he won't. His excuse is that it should have been done first before the other section and now it would be a pain for him to do. I remind him it was part of our original deal that he was already paid for and his answer is that he's going to charge me at least another $2500 because he'll have to bring his equipment back out......uhhhhh it was his mistake, but somehow he thinks it needs to be my problem. He literally just walked away at which point I advised him to expect being served with papers. Who does business like this?? Whatever you do, don't hire this guy. If you don't take that advise, absolutely don't pay him a nickel until the entire job is done correctly
