Very fair bid and we hired him. Communicated very well as to their shifting schedule, which we were fine with; frankly we expected it due to the nature of the business. Two months after rescrewing, it began to rain. We noticed a leak. Sent Jeff pictures and he scheduled time to come out and look at it. He found the first problem (nothing to do with their work). He made the plan to come out the next day with the proper materials. When he began to look further, he found additional issues that have been there since my home was built. The leak was a blessing in disguise, as the roof didn't need anything major because it was caught now and not in several years when it would be major. The roof just needed Jeff to add a couple of pieces of metal to make everything fine. Jeff - Thank you for getting on this so quickly and taking care of us!!!

So for this reason and this reason alone I'm giving Glacier Steel Roofing Products 4 stars. Just know it should be 5 stars. If you've read any of my other reviews you would know that we have been in the process of remodeling our home for the last two years. Along with new windows, insulation, well pretty much everything has been redone we decided to put a metal roof on our house. I thought it might be better for the snow to slide off our house during the winter instead of just sitting there putting more weight on our house's roof. In theory it seems right. Anyway, I hired a contractor to put the new roof on. The contractor gave me a few options of different companies that sold this type of product. My wife and I drove over to Glacier Steel. Thank goodness I have a gps, because they are kinda located in the middle of nowhere. We walked into there office/ showroom, and found a sales associate we could talk to. We were shown a number of options and told wich grades of metal we would want to use on our roof. Everything they said checked out from what our contractor had already told us. After choosing a grade of metal, we then got to choose what color we wanted our roof to be. That decision is actually a tough one if your undecided on what finish color you want to paint your house. I decided that a blue or red roof might be a little to much, so after convincing my wife we went with a nice gray color. We had the roof dimensions, so I already new how much product to buy. We ordered and paid for the material all at one time. Two weeks later we had the metal, and our roof was being put on. All in all the process was super easy. I came prepared and new what I wanted, which made the process so much smoother. Throughout our entire house remodel the roof, windows and new kitchen were the only things that went smoothly. I really appreciate Glacier Steel, and in the next 30 to 40 years well probably purchase the metal for our next roof from them.

I was originally quoted $1600 for the repair, which I was happy to pay. Once the contractor finally got here he made the decision to do a completely different repair that took significantly less time and materials, and they still wanted to charge me $1400 for a job I could've done because "there aren't roof companies that do repairs, so we really do them as a favor so we make the short list when you need a roof". Had I received the correct communication or the amount of work done I was originally told I'd be getting this would be a better review. $1000 in the end for work I could have completed faster is wild.
