The mold destroyed a suit, sneakers, a box spring & a gym bag. This also required me to buy damp rid bags & dehumidifier. None of which was reimbursed, nor did the complex even volunteer to. Not to mention I was always sick while living there due to it. I referred a friend & guess what they didn't give me a referral fee, just excuses. Now I've been moved out two months & still waiting on my security deposit. When I called the office I asked for a regional manager or DM contact info I again got excuses & the run around. I lived in the"woods"section which is newer & pitched as higher end, but not even close. If my review stops one person from moving in here I know I helped someone.

Since the new management and ownership have taken over, this community has become increasingly…read moredifficult and stressful to live in. Tenants are expected to pay rent on time, follow the rules, and be respectful neighbors--but that same level of responsibility and urgency is not being shown by management. One tenant was without the use of her shower for more than three weeks due to a hot water heater issue. She is a cancer survivor and was unable to shower in her own apartment before and after treatments because management failed to provide a timely resolution. That lack of urgency is unacceptable. Now, another tenant is dealing with black mold in their apartment, and management is reportedly dismissing the concern by saying it is "not that serious," "poses no threat," and that testing "is a process." Mold concerns should never be minimized, especially when people's health and safety may be at risk. This is not how tenants should be treated. Good, hardworking residents should not have to fight to have basic living conditions addressed. Management has a responsibility to respond promptly, take tenant concerns seriously, and ensure that every resident has a safe and habitable home. Tenants are held accountable every month. Management should be held accountable, too.

Headline: $500 for Electricity? Are You Kidding Me?! This Apartment's Bleeding Me Dry…read more Let me preface this by saying I love my apartment... mostly. Great location, decent amenities, and a (seemingly) reasonable rent. But the electric bill? It's a complete and utter nightmare. FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS during each winter month. For electricity in a relatively small apartment? I could practically power a small business for that price! I've tried everything to conserve energy. I'm talking turning off lights religiously when I leave a room, unplugging appliances when not in use (even the toaster!), and keeping the thermostat at a "comfortable" (read: barely bearable) temperature in both summer and winter. I basically live in the dark and wear layers indoors to avoid turning on the heating or AC. Forget having guests over - I'm too embarrassed to explain why the apartment feels like a cave with a broken thermometer. This outrageous bill makes living here financially crippling. It completely negates any perceived value from the good location. I'm constantly stressed about using appliances, even basic ones. Want to bake cookies? Forget it. Running the laundry? Prepare to eat ramen for the rest of the week. It makes enjoying my apartment impossible.

During my visit, I told the representative (who said she was retiring) exactly what my annual income was and what I was looking for in an apartment. She continued to talk about costs, amenities, and atmosphere, leading me to believe I was qualified. I expressed interest, and she instructed me to apply online. I followed her instructions, but the next day she called to say I didn't make enough money. This was AFTER I told her my income in person. When I asked why she told me to apply, she said, "I must not have heard you." Really? You didn't hear me clearly stating my income? I demanded a FULL refund for the $360 I paid for the application and to hold the apartment, but she said a manager would contact me--which never happened. I had to follow up myself, only to be rudely told I was out of luck and that the fee was non-refundable. They knowingly wasted my time and money. This is completely unacceptable. They will mislead and take advantage of anyone they can. Save yourself the trouble and LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!
