Georgia Perimeter College has a good set-up as far a the entire education system is concerned, but…read morethe Decatur campus looks like a high school to me. I sometimes honestly expect to hear like a school bell or something. One thing I don't uderstand is the way they've decided to label the buildings. All the buildings are labeled SA, SB, SC, & SF....I don't really understand why. Let's see,,,all I know for certain is SF is the building you go to for student accounts, finance, registration, and student advisory. The SC building has the swimming pool, gym, cafeteria, book store, and physical education. The SB building is the science building, so I'm assuming the SA building is the math building. I decided to take my math online, so that's the reason I'm not certain if that's the math building or not. I'm not certain why I have to take my math final on location at the school if it's completely an online class....but whatever! Other than the buildings being strangely numbered at the Decatur campus, they seem to have everything pretty organized in the registrar's office and all. If you decide to attend here, make sure you get a free adhesive decal for your car from the security office and a free Jaguar student planner from the advisors or registrar's office. I haven't been to every campus yet. The only campuses I've attended were the Dunwoody and Decatur campuses, but I've been through the Clarkston and Lawrenceville campuses. I also know there are campuses in Alpharetta and Newnan. I plan on visiting the other campuses just to see what the other campuses are like. The only thing I'm absolutely certain of is that it will be a lot easier on you if you bring your computer at the Decatur campus instead of relying on the school computers. The Dunwoody campus is my favorite so far.,,,even though I don't like the way you can only drive in and out of one way unless you use the overflow lot. It makes traffic very congested when it's time to leave. It's not quite like that at the Decatur campus....you are allowed to drive in and our of the same entrance. Okay, I'm rambling...but just know whatever campus you pick, you'll be getting a really good education.

Gotta be honest when I say I don't know this branch of GPC like I do the others and have only been…read morehere a couple of visits now. what I do like so far is the botanical gardens area and the general layout of the campus, which seems to have a lot more focus on getting outdoors with seemingly more benches and lots of vegetation all around. This is my first auditorium classroom on any gpc campus, which doesn't wow me, but I do find a nice change of pace. I can't tell you at all about the financial aid aspect, registrar's office, etc, although when I got my parking pass at the security area, they were very nice and informative. I've only had one professor here, who, after 20 years of teaching is still energetic and very fair. Location is much better for me than Dunwoody, and the campus seems to be better kept than Clarkston. So far i'm happy with this location.

This school by far teaches him responsibility, he is disciplined in doing his work, and he doesn't have to worry about the nonsense of bullying just because he is smart. This school is like a family. Mr. Jones the principal loves these kids like they are his. The teachers are very nice and encouraging, there are many events that the kids are allowed to participate in and they are greatly praised for good behavior and good grades. I wish this school went up to the 12th grade. We love it here. #KippVisionAcademy

I just saw a white passenger van parked crosswise, blocking both sides of the street, and picking up children while doing it. I watched vehicles parking, driving on - and over - sidewalks with kids walking on them. They block the road for a solid hour to the point that no emergency vehicles could possibly get through. They don't direct traffic, though they do have people standing in the middle of the road. This has to stop, it's dangerous. Don't send your kids here if you care about them.

I wonder how this whole accrediting thing is going to end. Probably poorly. I feel duped. For years we've been lead to believe that the APS was making huge gains. In turn, we've given them lots of money to build buildings and make things look pretty. I have a feeling that tap is about to be closed because we'll be voting on extending the Special Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) later this year. I for one will NOT be voting to extend it. We don't need shiny new football stadiums, larger district offices, or reconfigured campuses. Focus on teaching and the rest will fall into place.

I waited for about 10min until I found someone who was able to direct me to the right conference room. You are able to come here for tribunals (why I was there) as well as get student records. They had a nice little sitting area witch snack/drink machines which was good since you have to twiddling my thumbs until someone comes along to help you. Overall 3 stars.

Maynard Jackson Highschool is the WORST high school you could send your child to. From the outside…read morethey advertise it pretty well and make it seem like everything is fine but they are covering up what really goes on and completely ignoring issues that actually matter. They focus on football and ONLY football, meanwhile children are bringing actual guns into the school. They force kids to walk through metal detectors for a false sense of security but they go off on literally every student and they don't do anything about it. A friend of mine feels unsafe there (rightfully so) and brought pepper spray, but the confiscated it from her saying it was dangerous (but the guns aren't?). Students constantly fight and threaten each other. Every time I walk into the bathroom there are either kids having sex or smoking weed (not an exaggeration). The administration holds students to a double standard. They have rules but only enforce them on one kid a day which is completely unfair. They lock all the bathrooms except one and they one that is unlocked will have poop smeared on the walls. You will go to class and do NOTHING for hours. They blocked every possible website on the WiFi except google so good luck trying to get any work done online. They have student WiFi but won't let the students use it??? How does that even make sense. Everything about this school is a joke. Do NOT send your children here. If I could give it negative stars I would.
