Much more than a fruit market, this 7-Eleven sized vendor is very nearly a full-line grocery store…read moretucked back in one of the end-caps of a small strip mall (or "lifestyle center" if you want to believe the Canton planning commission). You can't get everything you want here, but then again, about every other time we go to Meijer they are completely out of the very thing we are going there for. The meat is always a great deal and good quality, but plan on using it the same day. For some reason it doesn't seem to keep in my fridge as well as meat from the big chain grocers - not sure if that is a good or bad thing. They have some specialty marinated varieties, Dearborn sausage and a full deli line as well. While the namesake of the store, the fruit isn't actually the high point of this store. It is a fairly timid line-up of staple fruits that Randazzo's down the road easily beats (although I am not sure that is a fair comparison). There are specialty ethnic items in the dairy section, an olive bar, and lots of fresh baked goods from a Dearborn bakery. Whether you are stopping for some hummus and grape-leaf rolls for lunch, or grabbing dinner fixin's on the way home from work, this neighborhood establishment is well worth frequenting. PS - Go ahead and try one of the date cookies at the checkout counter. You know you want to.

Mango's fruit market is such a nice market and convenience for my family and I. Whenever I need…read moremeat, deli, or a some produce, Mango's is my place to go. They are a family run business and you can tell that they try their very best to satisfy any customer need. They are very friendly people, always welcoming you into the store. I can tell they are well liked in the community because every time I stop in, their always laughing with other customers, and that is always good to see. Also, Darin E, I have the same problem as you. Their meat does not last as long as the meat you would get in the supermarkets. Curious as to why, I went to Mango's and asked them why that is. They told me that supermarkets like walmart, kroger, etc. actually put red dye into their meat so that it can stay red for longer in the packages. Not knowing if that was the truth or not, I went home and did some research. Come to find out, their actually correct. It is perfectly natural for meat to start turning brown. When meat touches oxygen, it will naturally start turning brown. If meat doesn't turn brown after a day or 2, that is when you know it has been altered in some way. When I ask them any questions, their very nice and informative so never be reluctant to ask them questions! They also have never used pink slime like the big super markets have and still do. They showed me that they get their meat in vacuum sealed packages and grind the meat fresh daily. Once I bought my steaks and chicken breast from them, I have not once went to any super market for their meat. You can honestly taste the difference in their meat. The chicken is not rubbery like the stuff I get in Meijer or Kroger. The tenderness and taste of their steaks is just great. It's okay not to believe me, but just try it for yourself! They are very reasonably priced, considering they get USDA choice and up. Grocery section is a little pricey, but I am sure they don't get the same prices the supermarkets would get so that is understandable. Overall, I really love this market and always enjoy stopping in whenever I need something. I have referred my family and my friends to go there because I know they would be just as satisfied as myself. I really hope they succeed and continue to stay in business so I can continue to shop there. Keep up the good work Mango's!

The store is always clean, well-stocked, and has a great selection, but what really sets it apart is the people behind it. Marvin, the owner, is one of the most genuine and hardworking people you'll meet. He clearly takes pride in his store and in serving the Canton community. You can tell he cares about the customers and the neighborhood, and that kind of leadership shows throughout the entire place. His sons and the rest of the staff are just as friendly and helpful. Everyone greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. It's the kind of place where you're treated like a neighbor rather than just another customer. Marvin also does a lot for the community, which makes supporting this business feel even better. It's great to see a local owner giving back and building something positive for Canton. If you're in the area and haven't stopped by Eastern Market of Canton yet, you're missing out. Great store, great people, and a great example of what a community business should be.

They brought the brisket up to the front counter for me to purchase. I am used to picking out my own meat and specifically looking at the sell by date so I just didn't think of it with this process. When I got home I noticed the sell by date was the very day I purchased this large roast. No one even mentioned this fact Or explained anything In regards to the sell by date. I am not planning on cooking the roast for several days Which will be this coming weekend. i did call and they assured me that the brisket would be fine for the weekend, but the point is that I would never have bought it if I knew or saw the sale by date. Perhaps if the butcher would have explained it initially, I would have been more comfortable. It was a very bad first experience and I will never go back.

Cantoro Trattoria - The recipe for the grilled calamari has changed. This one is prepared with fennel, olives, and tomatoes. Very good.

Mary cashed us out and was very helpful and sweet as can be. George, please thank George! He was so very kind to help us with a special request and went ABOVE AND BEYOND! Truly! We just gave our friends the gift of some of our favorite things from Cantoros and George took that extra step! We decided we should be on the payroll, because we are constantly promoting our favorite place! We appreciate all of you!

I was eager to avoid the kitchen and had always wanted to try the restaurant, so I was game. We were able to get a reservation immediately and headed on over. Upon arriving, we were promptly seated and greeted by our server. We started our meal with the grilled calamari - a nice change from the typical fried that is usually served in restaurants. It was light and filling, and accompanied by some delicious bread and olive oil with balsamic to dip. For my main course, I chose the orrechiette pasta. The portion was gargantuan - I can have it for at least 3 meals - and the flavors were so balanced and well-composed. Our server did a good job of making sure we had our food promptly and that plates were cleared out as we finished each course. She was friendly as well. We really enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to introducing friends and family to the restaurant soon!

This is the first place I saw white strawberries (several years ago) and on my most recent visit I found fresh soursop in a bottle! I am so excited to try it as I love soursop, and it's kind of a pain to eat and prepare. My favorite quality of this store is its local focus. I popped in here for a couple of bags of groceries for a weekend getaway. I wanted high quality, unique items, and Westborn delivered. On top of that, most of them were locally produced, even better. They have local staples like Sander's chocolates, but lots of lesser known ones, too. The daily prepared meals continue to shine (bourbon glazed chicken thighs, mac and cheese, roasted vegetables). They also have vegetable and fruit trays, freshly cut. Though I skipped them this time, you continue to find a lot of in-house and brought in sweets and treats, a sizable wine and beer selection (basement), and a good amount of staples (that will be pricey). They also have lovely fresh flowers and plants for gifting or to light up your own life.
