Unfortunately, there was a plumbing issue from a neighbors dwelling that affected my unit. Though it was unforeseen and inconvenient for all involved I have to really give praise to Wanya and Sandy in the RSO. They did everything in their power and I am sure bent over backwards to ensure the best possible outcome for me and my kids. The company made me move to another apt because of humidity, The new apt presented another huge problem , I had to move again, I rejected it immediately because I decided to move . The staff was ineffective. Guillermo the manager tried to solve problems within his limitations. The apts are very expensive for what they offer. The maintenance was very good, I do not complain . The best one was Jose. The laundry, the machines were always with problems. When I moved I had a pending balance, I asked for my refund , the denied it and stole the balance. Michael is a gem of a person. He's the epitome of quality customer seevice and one of the kindest people I've met in my 11 yrs as an Irvine Company resident. He really cares about the residents at Cedar Creek (and surrounding complexes), and he goes above and beyond to make sure people's questions and concerns are taken care of. I had some water get into my unit earlier this year as a result of community-wide power washing; and though it was near leasing office closing when I noticed the water, Michael still alerted the maintenance team, and Eloy was kind enough to come check it out really quickly to see how much water and how urgent the issue was. In a more recent saga, I wound up with 2 nasty looking bugs in my very well kept apartment, and it was Michael who saved the day again. I had submited a request to have pest control come out and was told they would be here in 1 wk, which was very unsettlimg. Michael managed to pull some strings and was able to get pest control into my unit in 2 days. Amazing. Truly amazing. Louie of pest control arrived and was very informative of the types of bugs, the how/why they got in, and the process he was going to use to treat the area and evict my little unwanted intruders. He was great too. As a tenant, it's nice to know that when things go awry, Michael and the people around him will take care of the job. Seriously, thank you all. Sadly after living there for almost 5 years we moved. It's not a bad place and the staff and maintenance guys are pretty friendly and helpful but the fact my car has so many dents from the pine cones and scratches from the guy blowing debris onto your car is horrible. I asked them what they could do about the damage to my car but they said nothing because it's an act of nature. In spring watch out for all the spiders also from the trees. Maintenance is always being done but I guess that's a good and bad thing. Watch out when you move out though they will try to keep as much of your deposit as possible and take forever to get it to you. Yet when you owe them they want everything right away. Why did it take a month for you to mail me my refund? Is still not here and I was told to wait another week or two when I moved out on 7/8 and it's now 7/30. read more

I have lived at Cedar Creek for about 2 months now. I have really enjoyed it so far. The office staff is amazing. They always help answer questions and always get right back to me if I email or call the office. Recently I needed help with a extra key and it was ready within 1 hour. They even offered to drop the key at my door. I also want to thank the service team for helping me with a small issue I had with my sink. They arrived for my appointment on time with shoe covers and face mask. Honesty I made the right call moving here. The view from my home is amazing and I can hear nature at night. I have lived in Cedar Creek for almost 3 years now and let me just say that I love everything about it. The staff are all friendly and their maintenance team is really super helpful and professional, especially Francisco. Recently I had an issue with my ac and Francisco showed up super quick and he was very knowledgeable about the problem. He made sure that we got our problem solved. He check everything and figure out what the issue was and fixed it super quick. He is always friendly and helpful every time he comes. If I could give him a 6 stars I would. Update: The bed bugs dwindled to nonexistence thanks to our generous application of diatomaceous earth. Finally we were transferred to another apartment. I am very pleased with the way the transfer went. Mr. K is no longer the leasing manager here. Instead, Chris spearheaded the transfer process. Although we have only dealt with Chris during the transfer and not the trying bed-bug era, I was very impressed at how kind and understanding he was during the process. The transfer was easy. Our new apartment is refurbished. Chris made sure that everything was flawless and helped us immediately when we called him. He is very reachable by phone and communicates constantly, which is a big difference from the elusive leasing manager before. Since I work from dawn til dusk, I wasn't able to return my old keys during the leasing office's open hours for a couple days. Chris was patient and gently reminded me without becoming aggravated. I'm just very happy with the way things went. I'm so glad things turned around and grateful I was able to update this review to a positive one. read more

When I first moved in I was sure this was going to be a solid 4 star experience. I thought the grounds were beautiful and located so close to my work! But it seemed with each passing month I had to knock down another star. We'll start with Pros: -The manager Mr. Rodgriguez was a real nice guy. Despite working for a clearly vampirical company the personal drive (or money) motivates him enough to be professional and kind, at least within his working boundaries. Cons: - Constant construction. Just. Constant. Outside my window for most of it too, and starting as early as 7 in the form of workers yelling and whistling outside my bedroom window. I was struggling with insomnia for most of the time I lived here which was not helped by this and it affected my work. - I never saw any benefit from the construction only got weird times with no hot water or pressure, as well as the super pretty tree that was in front of my place was promptly removed and replaced with....dirt. Oh, thanks. - Weird neighbors, a lot of loud kids, nobody was very friendly. Russian family next to me would sing sea shanties on their balcony late weekend nights. Next to my bedroom window. - They abuse the text system. You will get their annoying text updates about keeping your patio clean (mine was, they group text the damn things) at 8 am (keep in mind their office is not even open this early) - Irvine Company owned. - Other than the owner, I have received rudeness or flagrant nonhelpfulness from the rest of the staff. - GUARANTEED $100 PRICE HIKE AFTER YOUR FIRST CONTRACT CYCLE IS UP! They won't tell you this, that its market fluctuation, but somehow market fluctuation is always up when you're an established tenant. - It is located on a freeway with one exit into two way traffic. No lights or stop signs so during traffic nobody lets you in. Getting out is 50% painful. Shit, driving anywhere in Irvine is 50% painful. Also if you're looking at the map and thinking you'll at least have back walking access to the creek/trail right behin-NOPE! You are boxed in with one exit like Irvine likes you to be. - The "LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE" vans they drive around are so obnoxious especially when you do not love it. - Not worth the price. Moved here because it was the cheapest apartment in Irvine with good living amenities. My advice is move anywhere else outside of Irvine Companys reach for cheaper, it will save you headaches. - Awkward hallway/doorway layout forcing you to open and close reverse doors just to take 2 steps into the bathroom - Spiders. This place is a bug and spider magnet. If anything it helped me get used to them a little, but no, I still hate them. - Laundry facilities - expensive, card operated (which means its crappy and you have to swipe 10 times) and always full. -Leave you apartment untouched upon and be lucky to get half your deposit back. They took their time getting it back to me too, almost a month after I've left. I had some damages that I had reported, so I expected to lose a few hundred, but I lost a lot more than that. - Out of the 6-8 times I've tried to use their office to either sign my lease/pay my first months rent, report damages or outages, etc...3 of those times they were out having a special employee party, or at lunch, or visible there, just locked themselves come back later sign having a meeting and and shaking their head at me through the window. My girlfriend lives here so I come here often. This place isn't too bad, I just don't like that there are people above us who are really loud of the walls are just thin. We can hear them running or jumping almost everyday. And it's also weird that there is only 1 restroom for 3 people. The layout is not bad and looks like most Irvine rental apartments. Good location because it's close to food places, grocery store, and the 405 and 5 freeway. read more

I'm a relatively new resident, so I can't speak to longer term things (I'll try to update when I've been here a while), but I just had my stove bust a fuse and maintenance was fantastic about it. It happened at night, so I called the after hours maintenance line, and a staff member was at my place within half an hour (I believe his name was Francisco, but I may be mistaken). He unplugged everything and once he was sure there was no immediate danger, helped me set up an appointment to officially fix it the next day. Fernando was the person who came in to do the job, and he showed up right on time for our appointment, and found and fixed the issue within an hour. Very professional, and also very personable. Parking is EVERYWHERE. That was one of my big concerns when moving up to Irvine, so I'm very pleased with that. My only complaints about living here so far are fairly minor, but worth mention. First off, we are currently dealing with a lot of spiders and ants. The spiders have mostly been outside in the hallways, but the ants have been a bit of a pain. As of writing this, it's the end of summer and very hot, so I imagine that has a lot to do with the ants. (Update! I've just been informed that there are free extermination services, so that definitely helps with this point.) Secondly, the online system gave me and my roommates a little bit of trouble, particularly when we were setting up our accounts. It's not exactly the most user friendly process, and we ended up having to send in written copies of our application because of issues with the website. read more
