I have been a patient of Dr. Wheaton for 16 wonderful years. The receptionist that answered my phone call today, however, was overtly hostile, claimed I hadn't seen my doctor in 3 years (a lie), said she would have to ask if it was "ok for Dr. Wheaton to continue seeing me" and that she would call me back. Almost an hour later, I called back and was informed by this same receptionist that Dr. Wheaton would no longer see me due to missed appointments. She also informed me that my prescriptions would be cut off since I was no longer a patient of Dr. Wheaton's. Good heavens...I hope this receptionist doesn't stay in mental health much longer, because she is going to get someone killed. Made my first visit today with my child. Reception seemed inconvenienced that I was there and then we discovered that I had the wrong time she hand us off to be rebooked. They were also not friendly and now we have to wait 2 additional months. I asked a question and they acted like I was stupid. Drs might be great but the need new front desk staff! read more

My doctor was ok; I think she tried, but I'm not completely satisfied with the medicines she put me on. The office staff is extremely rude. People with emotional issues should be treated kindly; not rude and belittled. read more

"I was doing OK with this place until they decided NOT to make reminder calls. Since I am doing my sessions over the phone I was not getting cards. because they don;t call to remind I missed a couple calls and now they want me to pay $50 for each. I decided not to and cancel my remaining appointments. Mike Zockert was OK but all he talked about was football and other minutia and never pressed me to discuss my real issues, though at the start I told him he would have to. I do NOT recommend them. Very courteous staff and the doctors are great. Dr Wheaton is genuinely concerned about your wellness and returns calls in a very timely matter. Everyone there - from the front office to the the doctors - are superb. So thankful for their care and support! read more

Horrible. Consistently always behind on their appointments by almost 30 mins. Hard to schedule appointments around a work schedule. The lady's who do scheduling are rude and act like they are better then you. Do more research before you try this place out. You will have to be seen more often if you deal with this place read more

I'm satisfied with the care I receive here. Had a wonderful therapist who retired and still receive psychiatric care here.

For the record, I seldom give 5 stars unless it's a real home run. There are a lot of doctors in the place and I only see one. I'd hate to give a business a bad review for only one person. I see the doctor for medications and med management. I haven't done any therapy/counselling. I have had good experiences with the doctor. I've had minimal interaction with the general staff so I can't give a good opinion. It's not uncommon for the appointment to be 20 minutes late so I plan accordingly. I take it in stride as if I were talking to the doctor and needed a couple extra minutes, it would be worse if they pushed me out the door to maintain strict time appointments. Imagine the negative reviews if the doctor shove you out the door before you could finish. read more

I have NEVER had a problem with scheduling or having appts start on time. I have found staff and Drs all to be very responsive and professional. I actually am a counselor in Waterloo who has referred patients to this practice because of their willingness to go the extra mile for their patients. read more
